On 10/8/2023 at 6:56pm, I decided to place an online take out order for food at the restaurant, A Piece of Havana. I did this by looking their establishment up on ****** and pressing the "Order Online" button. After ordering the food, I received an order confirmation in the form of an email and a new post on my bank out that said $23.27 would be pulled from my account. When I arrived to the restaurant to pick up my food, I asked the hostess about my order and she said that the restaurant only took call-ins for take out orders. I was a bit confused because my mom and I have ordered online several times in the past from their establishment, and picked up our take out orders with no issue. I then asked her about the pending charge to my Truliant account that said it went to "A Piece of Havana" for $23.27 and she responds by saying that I would need to to email someone(not specifying who to email). The hostess then told me that I would have to "call in and re-order my food", even though I already paid for an order that I never received from A Piece of Havana. Since there was a family piling in behind me waiting to be seated, I decided to go to my car to figure out the situation with my mom. Also, since the charge was pending, I figured that I would watch what happens next, since the hostess implied that they didn't receive my order. The next day, October 9th, 2023, my mom and I decided to go back to the restaurant to resolve the issue because $23.27 was taken from my bank account officially. When we got there, I showed the same hostess the charge for the meal that I never received. The hostess then told me that a hacker took the money and that I would need to call the owner and manager, ****** and *****. She gave me both of their phone numbers to call, but did not specify whose position was which in the company. The hostess also failed to tell me the first time I went to the restaurant that a hacker was involved. I called ******, and left a voicemail because he didn't answer. When I called *****, she answered the call and greeted me. As I was telling her about the situation that occurred, I was promptly interrupted by her and was told about a hacker with little explanation on how the hacking occurred. The website I ordered from is also still up on ****** and she had no solutions on how to fix it. When she asked me who I emailed, I told her the email address and she interrupted me again and said, "No, that's the wrong email!", even though I was not aware of that and it was the only one listed in my order confirmation. She then said that she would call me back, but has not done so.
