I left several pieces for consignment sale and when went to check at store a couple weeks ago it has sign temporarily closed. i called no answer, google says temporarily closed. they have my stuff and or money they sold it for. what the heck is going on. please address thisInitial Complaint

I consigned furniture with the business October 2021. I received two checks with documentation of the items sold. There was an outstanding piece. The owner and the sellers told me “Oh yes, we remember that piece, and it sold.” But they couldn’t find where it had been posted. The owner told me he had a lady that was an expert at tracking those issues down and she would call me. Weeks went by, so I called again. Another promise and assurance that I would get my money. No call. So I went by. They had moved and not notified me. When I went in the owner told me he had forgotten but he would have the lady straighten it out and contact me. Crickets. So I sent email after email as a reminder. Just last night someone told me they have now gone out of business. I have tried to get my money for over a year being told repeatedly it was coming. I wasn’t notified they were closing either.
