I have patronized the business for the past 8 months. On Feb 8, I took my 8 month old black poodle mix for grooming. The night before, I bathed him. When I got there, I pointed out 3 small matted spots behind 3 of his legs. I also specifically asked (both in writing online and to the groomer) to please trim the hair inside of his ears. Each time I ask, they have NEVER trim inside of his ears. I contacted the owner on March 4, to tell her that he had been scratching his neck on the right side for 3-4 days before I noticed a sore with yellow, ****** puss on his neck. What was a cut was now a huge sore. He is black so I didnt see it until he had completely scratched off the fur in and around the cut. I rushed him to the vet at Banfield on February 22. The vet indicated that he had been cut and burnt by clippers at his last grooming. She also pointed out that the hair inside of his ears had, once again, not been trimmed. Every time I ask her to cut the hair in my dogs ears, SHE NEVER DOES but charges me for it. The vet cleaned his wound and gave me 2 antibiotics for infection. I called to tell the owner just to let her know. to be careful next time. The first thing I said was I dont want a refund or anything. I just wanted whoever cut his hair to know and asked for a name. She immediately became defensive and said she groomed my dog. She said he was extremely matted and i reminded her he had only 3 small areas that I showed her. She said I was just MAD because I couldnt prove she did it and that I cut my own dog. Utterly ridiculous, and I was offended by a person who supposedly loves dogs would accuse a regular customer of hurting my own dog. I am a vet with severe PTSD and anxiety. This dog saved my life. I never asked for vet bills to be paid or a refund. Nothing. But, her poor customer service and disgusting accusations warrant a full refund.
