We are filing this complaint because on 02/22 we provided a water test result that was conducted by our home inspector ****** and Sons to Sustainable Plumbing. 03/06 we asked what was needed based on the test results. Sustainable Plumbing said they would provide an invoice of what was needed to make our water safe based on the test results. Sustainable Plumbing said we needed a Springwell- whole home well water filtration system and UV water purification system. We made a deposit on 03/31 for $4007.36. Thats when we had another company perform a water sample test and the results indicated our water was safe. ****** and Sons referred ** to Sustainable Plumbing. They want to charge ** a 25% restocking fee for the materials and shipping to Springwell. We are willing to pay the actual amount for the restocking and S&H but wont provide a breakdown of dollar amounts. This led ** to contact ********** to see if they would lower the restocking fee. They agreed to take 10% off and said we are being overcharged for the water filtration unit and UV purification. The S&H was also exaggerated. Sustainable Plumbing indicated the balance from our $4007.36 deposit was $2813.46. We shared the test results with ***** from Springwell. He said " that there is more lead in broccoli than in our water. It is completely and totally safe. Sustainable Plumbing was going to put in a 47g Electric water tank and replace water lines under the sink. Sustainable Plumbing will not provide ** with a separate dollar amount for that work. They have lied from the very beginning, saying we needed products/services that are not necessary. We do not trust them to perform any work for ** since they have been dishonest during this entire time. We asked for a full refund on 04/24 and have not heard back from ***************************** office. We are very willing to pay the real restocking fee and S&H but want the rest of the money from our deposit returned.Business response
