      Their partner company in ********* rented me a broken peice of equipment which was also missing parts. When I returned it and tried to get a product that would work they did not want to compensate for the drive 1.5hrs each way to get the desired product from the larger location. The owner was very rude and kept switching his answers from the smaller company not renting ladders to they do occasionally. And that he was the owner but not of both locations when I asked to speak to the owner of the other smaller location he said it was he and his brother .... he said he would cut a rental price in half and that's all he could do. The original price was 47 dollars. I told him that didn't seem fair as how I waisted 2 hrs renting the product originally to have to drive 3 hrs time plus fuel to drive to their larger location to get the other product. Diesel is **** per gallon it would have cost me 300 in labor and minimum 30 in fuel. I will be taking my business else where from now on.

      I received notice of a complaint filed by ***************************************. It appears the complaint was originally filed in error on Cooke Rentals in ********, **, which is a separate company and has no ties to this transaction. ********************** rented an extension ladder from our ********* event rental location at 1:01 pm on October 7, 2022. He called and said the ladder was unusable. We did not have a comparable ladder to offer as a replacement, so we offered a full refund. Our tool rental store, located in ******, ** (22 miles away) had the ladder ********************** needed. **** Cooke, Cooke Rentals President, offered to rent it to ********************** for half price. The Terms and Conditions of the Rental Contract that ********************** agreed to expressly state the remedies afforded **********************. We empathize with **********************, as we never want to disappoint customers. Subsequently, we have removed extension ladders from the rental inventory at the event rental location to avoid similar situations in the future.

      My wife and I had a gender reveal party April 30. We rented a tent from Cooke Rental. We picked the tent up on Friday around lunch. We were not given an instructions about how to put up the tent. It was just loaded into our truck. We went to put ** in my backyard but it was broken. We returned it immediately on Friday. We only had the tent in our possession for 2 hours **** We were not given a replacement nor concessions. We were told the manager would call us on Monday. My husband called Cooke Rental several times but they never called us back. You should not be charged ever for a broken product. Cooke Rental did not fulfill their obligation of the contract. They did not provide training nor did they provide a replacement. They never returned and phone calls to address this issue. I had a party without a tent but still had to pay for a tent rental.

      The tent was setup and inspected prior to the customer picking up the tent, and was in very good condition. The customer did return the tent shortly after renting it, with multiple broken frame pieces and broken connectors. This damage would require significant force to occur. We lost several weeks of existing reservations and potential rentals due to the damage caused by this customer.
