I bought a new house from this company October 3, 2022. In looking at the house before it was completed, I checked where the range hood was installed, and the exhaust fan install was pending. I could see large holes behind the hood which I believed were for ductwork. Proper exhaust is extremely important because of my wifes breathing issues, heart issues, and other problems. I would not have bought the house without addressing this. I asked where is was exhausted to, but I assumed the question was missed. I did not push the issue assuming the proper hood exhaust would be installed. I was assured that unfinished work would be completed by closing days. It was also mentioned by realtors that builders on new homes normally addressed issues found after the close. To be perfectly clear, no one promised me ducts for the range hood exhaust no more than they did for the dryer or bathrooms. Seeing the holes made me assume the duct work would be in place. After moving in and my cooking, my wife had long coughing fits and sometimes had to go to the garage. We had to open windows to cook sometimes. I checked the Range exhaust and was shocked to see that the big holes were there with no ducts. The fumes were not only recirculating in the kitchen but also able to enter the wall cavity. I texted then called the builder who then contacted the cabinet man who said that HVAC people did install and that it had a recirculating kit. Near as I could tell, this was an unsatisfactory very thin charcoal filter. When I asked why the holes and why not ducts, the cabinet man said they would talk and get back to me. They didnt. No one bother to discuss holes or come to see issue firsthand. I texted the builder again offering to discuss options for how to install duct. He never called me to discuss so I didnt even get I chance to offer to share some of the cost. With this being his reaction, I didnt bother to tell him about the half dozen other more minor issues. I just fixed them myself. If you buy a home from this builder, be sure it is checked out thoroughly before closing. If possible while being built. Dont count on issues being addressed after the sale. I paid what I considered top dollar for this house thinking it would top quality and issues addressed. In my instance, this was not the case.
