      On February 10, 2022 I visited ******************** for my yearly Welcome to ******** visit. This visit is covered at 100% by ******** with no out of pocket cost to me including lab work. This is the first time I had seen this ******* ****************************** and she ordered some blood tests. Two of the tests she ordered, a kerratin assay and A1C were denied by my insurance for not meeting the diagnosis given. Insurance *** says specifically that I am not responsible for these charges even though they were denied. I believe it was a coding error and can be fixed by the provider who ordered the tests. I am now getting bills for $346.75 from the lab that handled the testing. They are threatening me with collections. I have contact the lab 3 times and sent a copy of the *** which says I am not liable for the charges and I have contacted the doctor's ****** 4 times and have gotten no response. No one calls me back when I am told that someone will. I want this taken care of immediately. There is not reason for the bill to be sent to collections and I don't want my credit damaged by such action.

      I am sorry to hear that you had this problem. However, You are not our patient and the provider you are referring do not even work for our office. Maybe you are getting our practice confused with ****************************** on ***************** which is affiliated with Harnett Health Services. You may want to reach out to their office manager to discuss your concerns and rectify your situation.

      Thank you for allowing us to review and respond to this concern filed by the patient.  Our Practice Manager and Provider, *************, have reviewed the concern.   The diagnosis code was listed as "not specific."  The Provider is correcting the coding error and the patient's insurance can review for processing.  Please let me know if there are any other concerns.
