When I contacted Mindpath for the first time, I told them that I was looking for a therapist that I could meet with weekly or biweekly long-term. I had to wait a few months for my first appointment, and the therapist was great. At the end of the call when we were scheduling the next visit, the therapist told me that she didnt have any appointments for three months and that I could try setting something up with another therapist or I could wait for three months. I was super disappointed, I felt like I had been very clear when I contacted them that I was looking for something consistent, thats how therapy works! I waited three months for my second appointment, and the same thing happened when going to schedule every appointment after that, extremely long periods of time between appointments. Then one day, I get a letter that my therapist is no longer going to be with the company. They didnt offer to schedule me with anyone else, they just left it like that. Thank God Im not in crisis and dont have any immediate needs, I feel like this company does not understand mental health at all.Review from Stephen M

My experience with Mindpath Health has been quite frustrating. The psychiatrist I encountered seemed rather robotic and lacked warmth, which, while understandable given their role, could have been improved upon. Additionally, I have been erroneously charged for no-shows, despite valid reasons for appointment rescheduling, such as poor phone connections.Furthermore, there have been administrative issues, such as billing discrepancies, including a $510 charge for a session that was meant to be covered by insurance. As someone familiar with the mental health industry, I find it concerning that Mindpath seems to prioritize revenue generation over patient care, particularly evident in their billing practices.Based on my extensive experience working in the mental health field for over 20 years, I strongly advise conducting thorough research on Mindpath Health before considering their services. In my opinion, their current practices do not align with ethical patient care standards.Review from Kris B

I can relate with many of the previous reviews. From billing non-existent appointments to the stressful calls and many hours of my life spent on hold or calling all over town to find my medication. Waiting for my provider to send it in (sometimes over two weeks) only to find that the pharmacy no longer has it...and it's on backorder. So another round of phone calls, long holds, many times no return calls, and the reminders that the provider has another 72 hours before they are on the hook to respond. It is a circus and a poor excuse for mental health providers. IF you aren't stressed, depressed, and anxious... Just become a patient of Mindpath and you will find yourself needing meds just to deal with the incredible run-around every single month. I have been with Mindpath for many years, and have been through four providers. (due to the staff turnover). This last provider is a PA, very young and impossible to converse with. She talks very fast (and constant), monopolizing the conversations and has no clue of what is really going on with the patient. This latest antic was my last straw. They feel that the medication is the carrot and will leave you without for weeks with lots of excuses and false promises. I plan to make all of my experiences public (from the massive billing - well outside of reasonable and customary) to the requirements that are made up and changed along the way. I have been without medication for nearly two months, so apparently it was never needed. In a nutshell, the entire Mindpath staff have an heir of entitled power... And treat the patients as if we are "beneath" them.Review from Brandon H

I was recently a patient with Mindpath Health and it started off great. But my Psychiatrist was very robot-like and cold. She also refused to refill my prescriptions until I got my bloodwork done. Lady, regardless I still have epilepsy, ptsd and anxiety and I need the medication. What is wrong with you?? I could of got more care from a cardboard box. However this is not what my review is for or why I canceled. I finally had enough when they charged me $70 for the second time for rescheduling my appointment. I have to go to work sometimes with short notice and my appointment is on mondays so I called on Saturday night and left a message to reschedule. And was still charged the fee! That was in October and I cancelled right after. Then just a few days ago, (Nov 14), a $50 charge shows up on my bank statement. So I call and they say its for the same missed appointment. Naturally i told them that I was already charged but they told me that I told me that someone higher up would have to make that decision. What?? You stole money from me and now you might give it back??? Do not trust this company. If I could give this company 0 stars I would.Review from Shannon F

No denying that I could use some therapy. Have adult ADD and the attention span of a flea. Missed the appointment, covers by insurance. The missed appointment fee is 60 freaking dollars. The never ending bills prompted me, finally to call and make a payment arrangement as I had the impression that the arrangement would be reasonable. Their only response was to pay $50. If I could of paid the $59, Whats ten more bucks?!!?? That is NOT a payment arrangement. That fee is RIDICULOUS. As are their judgmental and arrogant staff. Thanks for the ADDED stress, anxiety and a further reluctance to seek therapy having an experience like this.Review from Barbara S

A few years ago I was a patient of a company that Mindpath took over. At that time I received a message that they do not take Social Security so I didn't go back. Recently I received both text and email communication that I needed to update my information in their system. I have no intention of using them. They had a data breach that probably exposed my personal information including my Social Security number. I called to have my information removed since I was never a patient there. They refused saying they legally have to keep it for 7 years. Didn't they have a legal responsibility to protect my data. I think this company is all about them and making money not really interested in helping people.Review from Cynthia H

Out of the blue I receive an unsolicited email telling me to fill out my information.. I have never heard of or done business with this company - no explanation about the company or why I was being asked to fill in my information. Not only very sensitive information about my self as well as insurance and credit card number. After looking into the company I will NOT be entering any information. I receive almost daily texts asking for the information.Review from Jeff F

I am writing to express my disappointment with Mindpath Health's approach to patient care in the case of my mother, who has been a patient of the same clinician for over a decade. My mother is in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease and has a considerable hand tremor. She no longer drives and is largely homebound, and access to her provider via telehealth is very helpful. However, her cognitive issues and tremor are providing increasing challenges, and she has difficulty answering or placing calls. This came to our attention when Mindpath began billing us for no-shows. We immediately started working to mitigate the situation and put remediations in place, but many of the options (like having the provider call on her "grandpad" which requires a pre-defined phone number and moving the appointment time to when an attendant would be there) were not possible or did not get consistently implemented. Our biggest concern is that Mindpath did not escalate or proactively address this situation. When we had a billing issue, we received multiple phone calls to get the situation resolved. However, the same level of attention was not provided for the no-shows.We recognize the challenges that Mindpath faces (both from a revenue and patient load management perspective), but we believe that they should be waive the no-show fees while we are actively working to put a remediation plan in place.Review from Ann r

The staff at the location on ********** in ********** is AWFUL. They are extremely rude, god forbid you return your doctors call and they have to lift a finger to take down a note. My doctor had mentioned if I was still having sleeping problems to call the office and shed prescribe an antihistamine. So I called the office and the first girl was nice and put a note to my doctor to call me back. I missed the call back so called the office and the next girl V was huffing and puffing the whole time, being condescending and sarcastic. Huffed really hard and asked what meds I was refusing to take. Um, Im trying to get a medication. Then said I needed to make an appointment. I told her I already have an appointment but my doctor said to call her in the meantime about my sleep. And the voice message she just left said I could call. The receptionist scoffed and said she said that? She really said you could call her back? in a lecturing tone, like I was lying. So I said well, I have the voicemail. She then asked in an accusatory tone again what medications I was refusing and what medication was I wanting, as though I was drug seeking for narcotics. When I said all I wanted was the simple antihistamine the doctor mentioned, but I couldnt remember the name, she calmed down. It was only after all that that she agreed to type a quick note to the doctor. Like why all the teeth pulling and fuss? Even if I was narcotic seeking, leave it to the doctor to handle, you are a receptionist. These people are in no way fit to have customer service jobs.Review from Janis W

Just to be clear, I only left one star because it would not let me give ZERO STARS. Mindpath is the worst place to go for any mental health services. While my dr was AMAZING, working with this company on billing and getting insurance situated is basically giving me a mental breakdown. Please, do yourself a favor and do not use this company. So disappointing because the dr I was see was the first dr who actually listened and heard you.
