Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/11) */ 10-4-21 our BDC made an appointment for Mrs. ******* for 10-11-21 10-4-21 Mrs. ******* had her vehicle towed in and keys dropped in the overnight box. 10-5-21 We checked her car in at 7:19am in preparation for her 10-11-21 appointment 10-8-21 We fit Mrs. *******'s vehicle in 3 days early and started diagnostics 10-8-21 at 3:45 Mrs. ******* met with our service manager and authorized us to replace her battery at a $391.65 cost to her 10-8-21 I personally met with Mrs. ******* at or around 5:45pm. She expressed her concern that the battery was in good condition and did not need to be replaced. I asked her if she given the opportunity to decline the work or approve it and she said that she approved it. I talked to the technician that did the work and he stated that the battery was not even strong enough to do the update and the system showed that the battery was bad and needed to be replaced. I then went back out to talk to Mrs. ******* and I offered to take the new battery back out and put her old one back in and she declined that offer. I let her know that if that is what she wanted to do then she would need to pay the bill and her was vehicle is fixed 3 days early. She paid her bill in full at that point. I personally spoke to everyone involved to make sure that we acted appropriately and offered to take the battery back. I don't know what else myself or my staff could have done. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/10/11) */ They are lying my battery was in great condition before they got my car and became in bad condition once they started working on my car i don't know what they did to drain it they just wanted money out of me they saw i had warranty for my fuse and they wanted a way to get my money so they did something to my battery so it wouldn't of had no choice but to get replaced or course i agreed that they replace it how else was i supposed to drive my car off the lot ? i got documents proving my battery was good before ******** towed it to them ******** did a battery test and said my battery was good because they was gonna replace it themselves free of charge but they said my battery was good and texted me the document proving it was i got proof within the same day before it got towed to kia if my battery was bad don't u think i would of let *** put a battery in knowing it was free with my membership come on now do the math . KIA is scamming people out of their money and i'm gonna get my lawyer involved if they don't fix this matter
