I contracted with ***** ****** and ****** ****** of Spotlight Pools LLC on 22 July 2022 to build a 14'x30' gunite pool to be 6' deep and 3' deep. The cost of the project was $86,220. Through the course of the build the scope of the project increased and I was billed an additional $34,789 for such things as a 24' retaining wall, an LED 6' sheer decent waterfall, a 30' accent wall and travertine decking to surround the pool. Over the next four months I would write 8 separate checks from my personal checking account for the total of $123,709 dollars to Spotlight Pools LLC. The pool has been shot with gunite, and the long plumbing has been completed. ******* ******* contacted me and told me that he was the new project manager and that ****** had been fired. No explanation had been given. Some work had been done on the pool during the first week of December 2022 but no one has been out to work on the pool since this time. On 6 January I spoke with my electrician, **** ***** ** ******** ********. He told me that Spotlight Pools was having trouble and that five separate families were complaining to him about possibly being abandoned by Spotlight Pools. **** told me that Spotlight Pools also owed him $20,000. I tried to contact ***** ****** but his cell phone has been disconnected. I have called the main store and emailed Spotlight Pools as well, all with no response. On 31 January I noticed that there were more posts on the Spotlight Pools ******** Page. I contacted one of the writers and she put me in contact with other families that have had no work performed by Spotlight Pools in months, citing abandonment issues. To this day I have not heard from ***** ******, the owner of Spotlight Pools about the status of the pool or why work has stopped. ******* ******* said that he no longer works for Spotlight Pools. This project has been abandoned by Spotlight Pools, no work has been done in about two months and I have not received any refunds.

******* ******* (project manager with Spotlight Pools) told has been avoiding communication with me since March when the concrete for our pool construction was shot incorrectly. I wasn't able to get someone to my house until July, but in the meantime the response continued to be "they'll be there in the next two weeks." Since August, nobody has returned to my home. Nothing has progressed. ***** has never returned an email or phone call (I've never spoken to him) and I believe they are not planning on completing the project. I continued to hear "the next two weeks", have been told equipment has been ordered, have been told (in October) that I was on the schedule for plastering my pool, and have still had nothing occur. On November 29th, after my disappointment with the lack of progression and lies fed to me since August, ******* said "We fully intend to complete the pool. If you are dissatisfied with the time it takes I am sorry. If you would like to cancel the contract I can certainly talk to **** about that if that's the way you wanna go." In which I responded "You know that's not an option. The fine print and the contract makes that very clear. But I would like another project manager that will take some effort and actually try to get something done instead of just pretending the whole time. But I want ***** to call me, for sure. Cancel the contract... SMH. I have received probably $50,000 worth of work and paid $95,000. I'm not stupid." He did not respond. I have requested a phone call from ***** at least a dozen times and ******* responded that he cannot force anyone to make any phone calls. This was all done in text if you'd like documentation.

**** ****** the owner and ******* ******* construction manager with Spotlight pools have defrauded me and at least 5 other customers out of money for work that they refuse to complete, won’t deliver materials that have been paid for, and for my property/project the work that was completed to date has failed. As of January 5, 2023, we have large cracks running through the cement in the floor and walls, tile is falling off and there was insufficient gravel put below the rebar and concrete due to ****’s failure to properly dig and backfill, which is causing settling of the pool and causing failures (see pictures). After multiple attempts to reach ***** he will not call back, return emails and they have closed their office (I drove by this and it was empty and the office next to them said it had been closed for months. ******* ******* texted that they had stuff in storage until the found another office) and provided no new contact information. He has been paid over $308,000 by me for the project that is not complete, the parts that have failed, and will not come to complete, nor deliver material that has been paid for.

where to begin with my experience. I can only say if you use this company you are definitely doing it at your own risk. you can look at the positive reviews and believe what you like. Here is my experience. I hired this company in june 2021 to build a guinite pool. we are now in late October 2022 and I still have a uncompleted pool. This is not a pool company. This is a subcontractor. They have spent the last 1.5 years trying to find workers. they come out work 1 or 2 weeks and then you cannot get anything done for 4 or 5 months. They initially gave us a quote for a pool with no retention wall. we agreed. then they came back a week later and stated we needed a large retention wall.. we had a small hill in our yard, but we agreed to whatever they said we needed to do. They didnt inform us they planned to put a large hill of dirt behind the retention wall. that we would not agree to. then they gave us 300 sq ft of concrete at 20.00 sq ft. we didnt realize that was 4 ft around the pool. we got several quotes for 6.00 to 7.00 per sq ft. needless to say we hired someone else for concrete. their excuse was because we didnt let them put a large hill of dirt against our retention wall, we changed the scope of the project. we have done and paid everything this company has asked of us. over 120,000 we have spent, yet 16 months later we still have incomplete pool. we had no project manager the entire project. needless to say noone knew what they were supposed to be doing with our pool. unable to reach them we are now hiring another company to complete and must take them to court, good luck

We have sent Spotlight Pools two certified documents asking for information or remedies for warranted items on our pool. They will not respond. We have extensive concrete cracks in the concrete decking along with rust stains coming from inside the concrete, missing rubber seals around pool at joint between concrete and tiles, etc. We included pictures of what should be repaired along with a letter explaining our requests. To date, they are being ignored. This has been an issue throughout our experience with Spotlight.
