On March 23, 2024 I was traveling in *******, ** around 830pm on interstate 440 heading towards ************, I encountered a pot hole coming off exit 4B which flattened one of my tires instantly and created a slow leak in another (both on passenger side). When I contacted my insurance for road side assistance I wasn't satisfied with the estimated time of arrival of 3 hours so I decided to contact a local company and just pay out of pocket for the services. I contact ***** Towing and Transport that evening and requested services to fix a flat tire and possibly another flat since I saw that there was a slow leak in the other tire. I was told they could have a driver to me within 30 minutes and it would be a flat fee of $100. Once the driver (*******) came he was in a regular car he had no way of towing if I needed any additional help. Nevertheless he did help put on the spare tire, tried to charge me $125 and assured me it was okay to drive on the tire that was slowly leaking air. Once he finished I didn't have cashapp or zelle to pay him on site so I asked if he would follow me to the next exit (***************) to a gas station so I could withdraw the money from my account and he agreed to do so. As I began to pull off I noticed that something wasn't right with my vehicle and immediately stopped to see what it was. My tire in question was in fact completely flat. I managed to get to the next exit and asked ******* for help with the flat tire and he gave us a portable pump that connects to the cigarette lighter. This did not fix the problem and I was again stranded. I paid him $100 cash and ******* offered to give us a ride back to our hotel which he didn't have to do. My complaint first is the service I received was not complete roadside assistance I had to leave my vehicle overnight at ****** on ***************. Secondly when I called back to ask for a receipt to provide NCDOT with expenses paid they refused and have been rude giving me the run around.
