              I moved into my house in 2013, it was a new build. I have had issues with my heating/air unit from the beginning. K & V heating has been out numerous times replacing “parts” but not fixing the issue. I have 2 story house and the unit is too small and is working too hard for a house with separate thermostats and keeps going out. They’ve replaced the motor twice, it has frozen over several times, and countless other issues that a brand new unit should not be having. I have a 10 year warranty for this unit and they state it only covers parts and they refuse to replace the unit as a whole. I was told I need a “dampener” for the unit because it still it not operating properly currently and the part no longer exists. The manufacturer does not make it anymore. Yet and still, they will not replace my unit. The unit was faulty from the beginning and needs to be replaced. I have a warranty which is still valid for 2 more years and I need a new unit.

              I contacted K&V to replace a blower motor controller. Instead of replacing the defective component as requested, I received a quote for an entire blower assembly, at four times the part cost of a motor controller. This was very frustrating as it was not at all what I ask for or expected.I had already done the preliminary diagnostics before calling. I ended up replacing the controller myself as K&V was offering services and parts that I didn't request or need.Three years later, I received a billing request for a service call. Very frustrating.I appreciate that operating a small business is hard and the billing cycle can be a little slow, but three years...and to not even complete the task that I requested?I reached out to K&V before writing this review. Even after discussing the above, there was no apology for failing to provide the service requested or for the unacceptably slow billing cycle; only an unapologetic demand for money.I have paid K&V for the service call. I would have preferred an apology but instead received only excuses about a database and told that I was obviously in the wrong, a sad ending our 10 year business relationship.
