I wish to report an Eden NC business for publicly suggesting - in a reply to the negative Yelp review I'd shared - that I (a) "argued" with Reynold's staff, (b) was "trying to sneak" alcohol into the pizza place under my jacket, (c) had "walked by two signs" that were not there, and by extension that I had (d) been driving drunk before going there to order a take-out pizza. Note: this pizza place does not take phone orders and was not busy. I had already paid. When the cashier pointed at the green tea bottle and said "you can't have that in here", I asked if it would be ok to wait in my truck or to wait outside on the deck and have a smoke until my food was ready. I never raised my voice to either employee, did not argue, and was certainly not sneaking booze into their restaurant. The business is not yet listed with the BBB. .......... This is the business owner's slanderous response to my Yelp review: A.H. - Business Owner 9/25/2022 "It’s a shame that things had to happen this way, but you left us no choice. You walked by two signs saying “No outside beverages” and then when I said you couldn’t have that, you insisted that you were going outside so it was ok. Outside on our deck is still our property. I don’t have the time nor the stomach to smell everyone’s drink they bring in to make sure it’s not liquor. The conversation did not turn rude until you kept trying to walk out there with your drink. “The whole truth” is you knew you weren’t supposed to do it and that’s why your had it tucked in your jacket trying to sneak it in. And I had to “give you the same junk” the cashier gave you because you completely disregarded what she said when she said you couldn’t have that and continued to walk towards our deck with your drink. We do not allow outside beverages. Period. You know that, chose to bring one in, and then chose to argue with me about it when I told you that it’s not allowed."
