Paid for a playset with specific structures and one slide was never installed but it was included in the payments. We would like the slide installed or given a refund for the slide. We have tried to contact the seller for 2.5 months with no response to calls, texts, or emails.Initial Complaint

I spoke with the owner, *******************, about doing a swing set for our daughter in April of this year. She went through all the options and told me that I would need to give her a deposit of half the estimated cost in order to get on the list. I was told to expect our set to be built at our house in May or June. It is now the middle of September, so 3 months after I was told that we would have our playset built and 5 months after I put down a $2000 deposit. I have messaged/texted ******************* multiple times. She randomly responds only to tell me she missed seeing the message or is having phone problems and assures me that our set is to be built soon or next. I was told I was next 3 weeks ago. I have messaged her multiple times since then asking for an update and have been ignored. I have requested either a timeline for delivery of our playset or a refund. Again, I have heard nothing from her.Initial Complaint

In May of 2021, we provided Kids Korner playsets with a ***** deposit with the expectation that she would be able to begin work at a property we owned in the Summer. After several emails and texts asking about the installation time, I informed the owner in October of *********************************************************************************************************************** from performing any other work on the site (or risk a stoppage of work on the construction contract). I informed the owner of this situation, although she expressed disappointment, she ultimately agreed to consider the situation and get back to me. No response through October and November. In December we spoke, she agreed to return our deposit within 60 days. I have reached out to her several times during 2022 to remind her to fulfill the promise to return the deposit.Initial Complaint

I contacted ********** in November of 2020 in hopes of having a play set built for my kids. She seemed great and we agreed that her company would come out to build a version of their "cabin fever" playhouse. Given the context of Covid demands and supply issues she said they probably wouldn't be able to build until February but that was understandable. I sent her a 50% deposit to get the ball rolling. February moved in and I hadn't had an update or confirmed date to start so I reached out. ********** was apologetic and listed a number of reasons they were running behind but said they'd be able to come out in March. From then on this was our cycle. I would call her every 2 months, she would explain around the delays and reassure me they'd be out soon. After waiting for a full year for the playhouse to be built (and having some super disappointed kids) I reached out via email to ********** in November of 2021 and told her that there were no hard feelings but that I couldn't wait any longer. Less than 24 hours later she texted me in the evening that they would be out to start the next morning. No utilities marked, no plans made, no previous arrangements to make sure that we'd be home. It felt like a frantic response to my email, not a well executed construction plan. I said no thanks. She texted another long explanation for delays and short notice but ultimately seemed to understand and said she'd get my deposit in the mail to me that week. It is now the end of March and I haven't seen the money.Initial Complaint

We paid a deposit of 3000 to kids korner in July and was told by ****** the owner they would come out in august or September so we could go over the plan. She didn't come out so in November I touched bases with her and she told me they were running behind but they would be in touch. This went on for months until in January we asked for our money back since she was never reaching out to us and never responding to our texts and calls. She continues to avoid us and tell us she will send us our money but doesn't.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/03/07) */ I have had communication with************** since she fiiled this complaint and we have a plan in place for resolution. I have been in business for 17 years and due to the nature of our business as strictly site built custom design playsets with every customer having the opportunity to make changes or additions to their playset during construction along with the fact that we cannot work in rain or snow we cannot give specific dates for construction to begin. We also order slides swings and accessories for each playset and some playsets include slides that cost as much as $1500 each. Since Covid began we have also had to deal with supply delays and shortages which have been out of our control. For all of these reasons our policy since day 1 has always been that we do not do refunds due to delays and only do refunds if I knowingly accept a deposit that is contingent on HOA approval which is later denied. This is published on both our website and Facebook page. We do however offer a future full credit for a playset that the customer can use themselves or transfer to another person. It is the customers responsibility to check out a company's refund policy and our company has always had had this same refund policy published and in place. I have offered to come build Mrs. ********* playset and she refused and did not want it built. Although it is against our standard policy I have offered to send them a refund within 60 days and she has accepted that offer. For these reasons I believe this complaint should be closed satisfactorily.
