I paid DunhamTransportationServices to ship my dogs from ****** to **************. He assured me he and dogs were insured as a professional Shipping business. I paid him $1300 to ship. The dogs are very expensive Champion bloodlines. At the end if the trip he told me he accidentally "Let him go". My imported Champion dog has been missing and presumed dead ever since. ***** refuses to reimburse any shipping stating he doesn't have the money just lying around after he said he would reimburse shipping. He refuses to make any amount of good faith payments when asked. He now says he doesn't have animal insurance to cover the dogs loss. Bottom line. I hired a professional to transport my dogs which are now dead and I had to pay to do so. The dog lost is values in the 5 figures.Business response

I did make a delivery for *************** of 3 dogs to ******* ** from ******. I delivered the dogs to the destination in *******, **. This part of the trip took 5 days roundtrip and **** miles. I stayed in hotels along the way with 3 crates in and out of the hotels. I delivered all 3 dogs to the destination in ******* **. When I arrived at the lady's home in **, I went to the kennels to move dogs around. I had blankets over the dogs to keep them warm....I needed to move one of the blankets out of the way, because the dog in question, had pulled some of the blanket into the cage with him, so I was trying to move it out of the way of the cage by pulling it out but was unable to do so. So, I opened the cage just a little bit and he pushed his way through.... running off. I immediately ran after the dog, along with the woman who I was delivering him to. He ran fast and I was unable to catch him. He just kept running. He was a big male dog. This dog was supposedly microchipped and tattooed,so if ***** was found, he could be returned to the owner. Now, my question is: Why would she pay 5 figures for a dog, she got overseas only to ship him to another person clear across the country? I don't understand. Before this delivery, I delivered to her 2 puppies from *******, **, without any problems. I have also delivered 3 dogs from her to ** (2 adults and 1 puppy). In all, the picking up and dropping off of the dogs, it took me 2 weeks. There were no problems whatsoever until the last drop off. Again, it was not my intention to let him loose, he pushed his way out and took off. If *************** had had him for a while, why would he take off? I did my job correctly and did nothing wrong. I have had many other deliveries with numerous other pets and never had any problems whatsoever! I have apologized to *************** numerous times for her dog running off.
