On November 22 I purchased a dachshund puppy by the name of **** for $500 from Carter's dachshund puppies and the sales contract was emailed to me the same day. The breeder was supposed to send me all her information before her arrival I hadn't heard from him in four days and she was supposed to be here on the 28th of November at 5 pm I emailed, called the breeder, and tried texting the breeder numerous times to see if she was still coming and I got no response. Then I got an email from the shipping company that I had to pay over $2500 to receive her. The $2500 was a thermal crate and insurance on the puppy and was told if I didn't send payment the authorities would be called and charges would be reported as abandonment and neglect. And on the sales contract, states that the breeder is financially responsible for all fees for delivery. A $2000 payment was made yesterday November 29 and an additional $500 was requested at 8:21 pm to complete delivery. I notified the delivery service that I would not be making any more payments for the delivery and that they needed to contact the breeder. At this time I contacted the breeder and informed him that I would like him to pay the remaining balance of $500 to complete the delivery of the puppy as per the contract I was not responsible for paying any amount for the delivery but because of being a college student and being threatened will charges of abandonment and neglect if I left her overnight at the delivery service I didn't want charges placed on me and that's why I paid the $2000 but I was informed not to pay another dime by a family member.
