First contact on 3/17 - Submitted request for a quote on SeamlessGutterNetwork.co (the company had great reviews on Google) 3/18 - Howard B****** called to arrange a time to give us a quote under the name "Tyler Williams" 3/22 - Came & gave the quote. At this point, "Tyler" stated it was a family-run business by his father and they would be doing the installation together. He mentioned on several occasions they ran Seamless Gutter Network together. Matthew and I signed the contract. 3/28 & 3/29 - He called and asked for payment since he stated he had purchased the materials. 3/30 - I, ********, paid $999 as a down payment via PayPal. As soon as I hit send payment, I noticed his name on the PayPal invoice was "Howard B******" but our paper contract had the name "Tyler Williams" and it was the same man we worked with. I researched his name and found Yelp reviews about him scamming others. We also noticed the company name changed to Carolina Gutter Services which our paper contract said the same (an error on our part) but we thought we were working with Seamless Gutter Network. 3/30 - Tried to get in touch with Howard by text and phone call & were unsuccessful. Reached out to Seamless Gutter Network.net & spoke with his father (Howard B****** Sr.). They do not in work together, the website containing ".co" was supposed to be taken down but is not. He is stealing clients from his father from this fraud website but has scammed others in the past. Howard Sr. said we don't have a contract with his company SeamlessGutterNetwork.net. ***** asked PayPal to stop the transaction because the fraud, deceit & the contract is null & void due to fraudulent misrepresentation. 3/30 (8:58 pm) Howard called. He stated he already paid for the materials and requires payment. I requested confirmation from the supplier that the materials were ordered/paid for - He couldn't provide. Due to the fraud & issues with the contract, I don't want to do business with him but he may contact us again.
