I had a membership with this gym over 2 years ago. I am also an active duty service member. Per their policy, over two years ago when I got orders away from ************, I brought them a copy of my orders to cancel my membership. I wanted to submit them electronically so there would be a paper trail, but their employees told me they dont do that and I had to turn them in in person. I did, and was assured my membership was cancelled. Over two years later, I now have a hard hit on my credit through a collection agency. They have been charging me and filed it as a collection. It is an unbelievably disgusting scam and through my own research Ive learned this is actually a part of their business model and Im just one of many service members theyve immorally taken advantage of. I have filed a dispute through transunion and am planning on seeking legal action as well. This is fraudulent activity, especially considering their manager directs their employees to take the government military orders in person so theres no paper trail, and then fail to file them. Absolutely despicable business and Im embarrassed they ever received a cent of my money. I hope I can at least warn other service members to stay away.
