I recently, within the last few months, bought a used refrigerator from *******. It has stopped working and I've been waiting for a technician to come out for the last TWO days, and likely another one, as they seem to start work at 11 and end at 5 with a lunch break where they were unreachable.Initial Complaint

Purchased dryer on June 9, 2023 with a documented 6 month warranty. ***** worked fine for the first 6 weeks. Then the dryer began making a horrible screeching noise. I called the business the morning of July 31, 2023 to let them know what was happening and to get the issue resolved. I was advised to take a picture of the dryer and text it along with my concerns. I immediately did as instructed, but heard nothing back! I called again on August 2, 2023 and was told they needed my address and a tech would come out to check the dryer. Waited all day and the next day, no one came. Called on August 4th and again was told Tech would come by! To date, I've heard nothing and no one has come by to check on the dryer! I am so disappointed in this business! I paid over $250 for a dryer that I can't bare to listen to it run, but I must do laundry so I suffer through it! I will NEVER do business with Chubb's Appliances again! I don't want a replacement, I want my hard earned money back!!!Initial Complaint

I purchased a refrigerator freezer from this warehouse on 7-15-23 for the cost of $350.00 and told there were no issues with it and everything worked. Once I got home plugged it in and waited something started burning and almost set my home on fire. I immediately un plugged it and returned it back as soon as they opened back up and I could leave work early which was Tuesday 7-18-23. At this ware house this is my second time going here and the owner has Spanish men and Spanish boys working for him. The men can not speak English and the boys are around 8 years old and have to translate your conversation to the adult Spanish men. I explained what happend and showed them a hole in the bottom that was hidden by the drawers that the burning was occurring from and they told me they would fix it. I told them I did not want it fixed I wanted my money back. They called the owner and he was very rude and told me I would not get any money back and it stated no cash refund given was listed on my receipt but it clearly is not. I told him Im the refrigerator almost caught my home on fire and he told me it was not his refrigerator but my home. He then told me he is not going back and forth with me all day because he did not have time and to leave his property and then hung up on me. I ask the workers for his full name and the 8 year old boy who translated told me no one knew the owners name because everyone was paid in cash because they were in our country illegally and the owner was aware of this. I am a woman and could not load the refrigerator back onto my truck myself and they would not load it either. They kept the refrigerator and I was told to leave the premises. This is terrible customer service and very dangerous. It was 3:00 am when I realized something in the refrigerator was burning. I have 3 kids and my youngest is 3 years old. This owner needs to be held responsible for his actions and the way he treats people.Initial Complaint

I purchased a used dryer from Chubb's downtown ************ ** on Dec 1,2022 they they put the dryer in and turned it on, it sounds good so they left. I tried to dry a load of towels about 2 hours later and it starts screaming and shaking so I stop it and called them to let them know that something was wrong. The guy on the phone said no worries we will send a repair guy out the next day which was Dec 2 2022. He checked the dryer and tells me it's no good call them and tell them to bring you another one. Well I left messages and went by ack up there . I haven't heard a word from anyone. I don't want another dryer I know I deserve my money back. I need some assistance. It's wrong to take folks money for broken equipment and now no one Is answering the phone.Customer response
