I took my dog Bella to Western Carolina Animal Hospital 2/16/2022, my mom called me at work and said she had fell down down. I arrived at the hospital at 3:30. After waiting 2 and a half hours I was told that she needed to be put in ICU care By *******************, VMD. He told me that Bellas colon was full of bowel and he was sure she was septic. I said are you going to give her a enama to remove the bowel. I was told by **** that they would, that they had 2 ICU nurses 24/7 and that Bella would have the best care. I left Bella that night and checked on her before I went to bed spoke to a nurse that confirmed that Bella was doing good and they would give the enama. The next morning **************** called at 9 am and told me that Bella's fever broke and that they would draw blood again and take another set of ex rays. That was a complete lie because Bella's fever was back at 7 AM that day and she had worsened over night and through out the day. They left her in pain to suffer! This has taken me 3 weeks to right because my heart is broken! I called to speak to management that following week and was ignored. Finally ********** manager ******* called and left a message on 2/24/22 that the director would call me. I do still have the voice mail saved. The director never called me.. I called Friday the 25th and asked why the director had not called and checking on ****** remains. I was called back by *******************, He said that he was tired that he had worked a 14 hour day. I asked him why Bella was not given a enama, He said because we are short staffed and did not have the time. So my Bella was treated inhumanely, suffered while I expressed with both Vets and the nurse those hours of her suffering to give her an e**** to get rid of the bowel that I thought was causing her septic. I would have taken her to the other animal hospital in ********* had I known she would have laid and suffered! I was charged *******. ******* was vet fees. Bella was neglected and i was forced to euthanize her
