To the complaint of ****************, She states on May 11, ****, (YES HER STATEMENT SAYS ****) that my shop had installed a cooling fan on her vehicle for the amount of $368.00. That is absolutely not true. ******** Radiator service of forest city has NOT performed any type of work on Ms. ******* jeep at any time in the year of **** or 2022 for that matter. On July 19, **************************************************** ******* jeep. Her invoice # is ******** for the amount total of $348.82
On or about May 10, 2022 she came in for us to check the cooling fan for proper function. It had failed and needed to be replaced. The fan blade was detached from the electric motor. No question that the fan assembly was under warranty. We were booked full of work and I told **************** that it would be three to four days before we could get her in and change out the part. She chose to have someone else to install it. On May 11, 2022 **************** and I exchanged the failed part for the new one.
Approximately 7 to 10 days later that fan had also failed. I offered **************** a refund on the failed part. She wanted a full refund of $348.82 for the job we performed for her on July 19 2021. I told her we only have a 90 day warranty on labor and I was willing to give a refund for parts only.
I request a copy of the invoice for the work **************** said that we had performed for her in the year of ****, and or the year of 2022. I would assume that the BBB would require some documents from the complaint or at least read the complaint before sending me a letter or does it just operate on here say. Also why would the BBB send out a letter to a business and not even verify the correct owner of said business.
As for the request of the BBB for me to respond to this complaint within 5 calendar days of receipt, I have. This letter was received by me today on Monday July 18, 2022. Today ************* has been given a refund for the cost of her failed part. It had nothing to do with the BBB being contacted about me. That offer has been there for her since the last part failure.
