On October 20, 2023, around noon, I requested roadside assistance for my Jeep that wasn't starting in my garage. State Farm dispatched the service provider, Harris Heavy Haulers to do mechanic work to pick up/deliver and replace my battery. The service provider charged me $40 (apple-pay) to check the battery which I believe was included in my insurance. My battery died, so he purchased a battery at Advance Auto Parts, Store #**** in *******, ** in the amount of $316.99. He asked me to Apple-pay him the money before purchasing the battery so I did. He came back an hour later with the battery, but no receipt, just a piece of paper with the description of the battery and the price. The service provider didn't get back to my place to drop off the battery until almost 7 p.m. He said that he didn't have all his tools and that it was too late to change the battery. We agreed that he would come back today at 10 a.m. to replace my battery, but he never showed up. I texted at 10:38 a.m... asking him "Where are you," and no response. I reached back out to my insurance company to let them know he never showed up. The representative that I spoke to said that the service provider said I wasn't home and no one answered, which is a lie because I have been home the past 24 hours without a car and not able to go anywhere. I called the local Advance Auto Parts to ask them if someone purchased a battery under this name or phone number, and the lady said no. I would like this business to refund me my $40, and produce me an itemized receipt in the amount of $316.99 for my battery and 3-year warranty, or I will dispute both charges with my bank.
