My wife visited LGI homes while down in ************** area. She decided to put $1k ****** money down toward the purchase of one of their homes. I understand that the ****** money is generally non refundable however here is my issue with this company. The *** representative, never mentioned the *** details nor did he ever offer/provide them. After asking/receiving the policy, I was concerned about what I considered to be extremely restrictive rules, and did not want to be subjected to them. The fact that my wife was never provided the *** rules prior to signing is wrong in my mind. I believe they should have returned my ****** money under these circumstances. I feel whether the form states no refund policy or not, it is such a shady way of doing business. People should be told in advance! I am trying to find a name/email to write to in ***, and explain this issue, but that seems hard for me to find. If I cant receive my funds, at the very least I would like to let everyone know about how they do business and would never recommend such a business. Thank you for listening. ******************, we appreciate you voicing your concerns with us. It is made very clear during the purchase process that the home is in a community with an ***. This *************** amount is noted when we review the vital information for the community, and the fact that the community is in an *** is also disclosed in the purchase agreement. If the exact restrictions were a concern, our team would have been happy to provide the *** covenants for your review prior to the signing of the purchase agreement. We are disappointed to hear that the *** restrictions are what caused you to change your mind about the purchase, but this does not fall under the terms of which the ******* Money deposit is refundable. I am rejecting this response because: My complaint is not because there was in fact an ***. My complaint is that a copy of the *** and/or the details of the *** were never mentioned nor provided to my wife prior to signing. In fact, she had to ask our realtor later for a copy of the *** at my request. It was at that time when we realized we were not accepting of the limitations and asked our realtor to cancel. I believe that because your representative never mentioned nor offered her the *** to review, you failed to fully disclose all necessary information, and my funds should therefore be returned. $1k is peanuts to you, but means a lot to us. I also believe you should return our funds as a simple matter of proper courtesy. It cost you nothing and the house sold within two days later. You lost nothing at all. I am extremely disappointed with this decision. Can my complaint go any higher within your organization? I have to believe someone at a higher level, and with concern for the customer, would understand my issue and return my funds instead of me just receiving a standard response from your organization. I am asking if you would have someone within your organization, at a higher level, review my complaint and see if they might agree with me, and provide a response? I believe your company would be viewed upon as a customer caring company instead of a cold unsympathetic one. A company where people/customers trust and are glad to conduct business with. Thank you for listening to my issue, and I await your reply.

Complaint has been filed with LGI in several occasions and with the *********** regarding our septic tank leaks in 2 areas in our yard. The quick fix was to cover with dirt and straw. That didnt work. Next, the environmental service from the ***************** along with LGI suggested placing a meter to detect water leakage. No water leakage. Our whole yard smells horrible & we are inhaling this everyday it is no repaired. Weve had it pumped out, not the problem.
