Gastonia Home Improvement disaster. We had a 140 sq ft bath remodel which cost $450/sq ft. and 6 months start to end. If all the minute details were not specifically written in the original contract, no matter what *** said with a smile, there were up charges. If you cant get it at Lowes or *********** or you want something better or different, there was an up charge. Custom medicine cabinets next to exposed fire place, up charge. Shelves in those cabinets, another up charge. 4 recessed general lighting ceiling lights, $1200 up charge. A threshold for the door to the bath, up charge. Towel bars, up charge. They had to redo many items because the plastic they used did not match the rest of the house. No attention to detail. If it could get covered up, it was good enough. In my opinion, cheap quality work at premium prices. We would never consider using them again.

I will continue to do so on every social media site that you go to as well as notify my attorney of the same. *************** to your 2nd review regarding the inaccurate review of Gastonia Home Improvement LLC regarding the bathroom/closet renovation that took place in 2022. First, I will advise the public that GHI has had to retain counsel against you due to your ongoing harassment. Secondly, I will address the issues of the original contract versus the outcome of your renovation. Prior to work commencing at your residence, we met and agreed to the layout of the renovation. That layout was submitted to the City of Gastonia Building Permits for review and was approved. Based on that layout and plan, the remodel should have taken no more than 3 weeks. However, from the day we arrived at the job, you and your wife changed the complete layout and went for a CUSTOM Renovation which you were not charged for based on the original contract. Due to the numerous upgrades, you were charged for those, and your review somewhat confirms that with the indication *** advised you of this. But it wasnt just *** who advised you of those changes, but you were also advised of these by my office manager, *****, and myself. I have all those emails including your responses as of this day since those are considered work product and will probably be needed within the near future. With custom renovations comes custom pricing. Thirdly, I respond to the delays. This job took place while COVID was still on the rise. This affected supply and demand on all items as I am sure you were impacted in some way or another in your dental practice. However, the biggest issue seemed to stem from the sabotaging of our subcontractors work product by you and your wife when they would leave the job site. The subcontractors got to the point where they were refusing to return to the job site as they knew all their prior work would have to be redone, causing lost hours and money. You were not charged for those numerous incidents where work had to be redone. This hindered the work site so much that I had to reach out to the ********************** in the City of Gastonia putting them on notice of the issues on hand with this job site. It was at that time we were instructed to seize work and void the permit. In an effort of compromise and to keep the job moving, we told you and your wife face to face, this could not and would not happen again. Lastly, the upcharges you listed are inaccurate. GHI did not charge you for any custom medicine cabinets. You worked on your own with a subcontractor and you were to pay him for those services. That bill has not been paid. 4 recessed lights were added to your bill in the amount of $1300.00 as those were in addition to the lighting that had already been allowed. The threshold for the door to the bath, there was no upcharge. Towel bars, there was no upcharge. ***, my next post will include the invoice along with the change/add on document showing exactly what we charged for and what was refunded by GHI so the public can see for themselves the inaccuracies of your post (personal information will be excluded). My last conversation with your wife indicated how pleased she was with the outcome of the renovation, but I am sure you will say I misunderstood her just as I did on all conversations that I had with her.

Very pleased with my recently completed bathroom renovations. My initial call to their office was returned promptly, and an appointment for my quote scheduled in a timely fashion. My remodel/renovation was handled professionally, with the entire process fully outlined and explained to me by *******************. Their workers arrived on time each day they were scheduled, and were wonderful to work with. The quality of their craftsmanship was top notch and my expectations were not only met, but exceeded!I now understand why they came highly recommended by my neighbor who has already used their services twice for various home improvement projects.
