Remodeling project dates: 3/24/23 - 4/28/23 Contractor was hired to remodel kitchen, replace vinyl flooring, and paint several rooms. Contractor failed to properly supervise workers; repair/correct errors in workmanship; keep a timely work schedule so that the project ran overtime. Contractor was paid $7,000 and claims we owe him more. We do not. Contractor mismeasured and miscalculated causing unnecessary adjustments to be made and numerous products to be returned and some allowed to ruin (sheetrock). Contractor was dishonest regarding his expertise, skill level, and licensure. Contractor and/or workers damaged our property causing additional expenses to repair plumbing; replace flooring as vinyl was improperly laid on top of old vinyl; reupholster a leather chair, etc. Currently, contractor continues to harass ** via text messages and email which contains very foul language. He threatens to place a lien on our property and sue ** for the amount he says we owe - $700. We do not owe him anything and have repeatedly asked that he stop contacting **. Supporting documents are attached. Other documents (receipts) can be forwarded to you as necessary.

****** is a manipulative old woman who uses her sweet old lady hack like a double edged sword she will sweet talk u into doing extra work a little here and a little there through out the process every day it was something new added to the contract very smart so she would wait until an area in winch u have to add the new thing before u can complete the next step example we were about to paint the bathroom she asked could I install a shelf in there above the electric outlet and because it requires mud work of course it took extra time this woman is insane I actually did her a favor

She got new countertops new cabinets ,stained the cabinets built a bar that wasn't there before installed floors the entire house painted the entire house and the ceilings I cut a hole in the wall to recess the fridge into a closet in the adjacent room  she only paid me **** she cheated me out of my 700 and she's making a complaint insane please inform her I have already filed the notice of lien

I am rejecting this response because:
I believe ****************** has me confused with someone else. Example, there was no shelf installed in our bathroom; there was no bar built; and the entire house was not painted (only three rooms). I have check stubs and bank statements to show that ****************** was paid $7,000.

Further, the work was not finished. Example, one bedroom was not painted, and the eave (peak) of the house was not painted. Both were listed on the contract.  ****************** packed up his tools to go and do another job leaving ** with work undone.

We have since discovered a leak from the icemaker waterline behind the refrigerator. The leak has ruined the floor and the subfloor has to be cut out and replaced. This adds to the cost of repairs that we have incurred due to ********************** lack of expertise. Regarding the waterline, I had told ****************** and even sent an email informing him to replace the old icemaker waterline with a new one. He did purchase a new line but failed to install it. Thus, the leak resulted from reusing the old fittings.
