Impossible to get in touch with by design. Phone number and contact forms are effectively garbage chutes. Even showing up to the physical location does nothing, they will just tell you they'll call you. I live at a property owned by Hawthorne and have been intentionally harassed by another tenant for days now. Cops have showed up at my door asking about others' noise. It's caused me to start experiencing seizures again because I can't sleep, and nobody at Hawthorne will even talk to me about it. The last few months have been the lowest point of my life because of this company. The only way anyone should deal with Hawthorne is through a lawyer.Review from T. W.

In August of 2021, my son a college student moved into this apartment. I co-signed because this was his first apartment. The company was contacted about the carpet and other things that needed to be fixed in this apartment. The apartment manager contacted my son back by email. Nothing was never done about the smell. When he moved out we received a pet bill for the carpet. I contacted Amber Ridge apartments because he never had a pet and they refuse to resolve this matter. My son has never had pet and this bill is ridiculous. I would not recommended this living in this apartment complex.

********* (her son as mentioned in her statement) assumed someone else’s lease agreement. The roommate add on/release addendum that the son and ****** ******** executed with the prior residents, section 1.7 is very clear about the condition of the dwelling & accepting as is. As I explained to ********* when he moved in when he requested re-painting the apartment and many other complaints, I told him that since he did not directly rent a new apartment from us but was essentially subletting we do not treat this type of situation as a “new” move in, they assume the apartment as is and that he should discuss this with the prior residents. I also explained all of this to his mom, ******, when she called after he moved out regarding the charges. Please let me know if you should need anything else but her accusations are false and I can supply the addendum if needed.Customer Response

Yes, ********* took over someone's lease. No, ********* didn't have a pet and he contacted them about the oder and the walls we he moved in. Amber Ridge Apartments never followed up in this matter. I contacted them about the unnecessary pet charges and they refused to take care of this matter. Nothing I stated was false.
