      I am a Disabled Veteran, and opened my savings and checking account #****** with ********************** in *********, ** in June 2012. I was approved for an auto loan and personal loan, that was deducted monthly from my account. I had received notification that Premier Federal Credit Union merged their business in April 2021, and the new name would become ************************************** Union. They had not properly transferred my account history and I was reported late and behind/default in payments with negative account balances. My ********************** bureau reports show several duplications of default accounts. I was told this takes time to update and corrections/adjustments would automatic post. Then I received notification that Charlotte ***** Credit Union was changing to Skyla Credit Union in October 2022. Again my account was incorrectly posted . As of this date; I have paid (or charged) more than what I agreed, penalized with fees, assessed with account service and auto insurance fees, overpaid off my auto loan, incorrectly reported to credit bureau poor payment history and balances, charged overdraft and other unnecessary banking fees.

      I've been a credit union co-op member for 18 years and have never had an issue until I opened an account with ********************** CU for an auto loan. After submitting my loan application I was contacted by Skyla via text message requesting copies of my paycheck stubs and a photo of my drivers license. I wasn't sure if it were scam so I reached out to their customer service number. I was told that they weren't familiar with that form of communication and I was transferred to the woman who was helping me with my loan. I requested her Skyla email address so I could send my information over. After setting up a account with them I was never told that I wouldn't be eligible for co-op member services for 30 days. Which means I'm unable to withdraw money from my CU account at their branch, transfer money between accounts, or get a cashiers check from them from another CU. I didn't find this out until I went into the local branch to get my cashiers check for a new car. They were only able to give me a cashiers check for the loan amount and not my down payment. I had to call up my CU and wire transfer money to the dealership for my new car resulting in a delay being able to get the car. I just set up my online account with ********************** and am now being charged a fee for paper statements. Never once did I see any communication about this. The lack of transparency from their institution is awful and really makes it difficult to trust them. I will be closing my account with ********************** CU as soon as my auto loan is paid off. I've spoken with two different managers to only receive an apology and nothing more.
