7/19/23 my cat was at A.H.V. My friend J**** R**** was w/ me. She told staff she was financially responsible for services. She provided her name & address. A.H.V. sent me a refund check #**** made payable to myself & J**** R****. This creates problems. We don't live near each other, both signatures required to cash, my bank wouldn't cash w/ 2 signatures anyway because we don't share an account. I called A.H.V. & employee saw J**** R****'s address. Accounting made the mistake & won't fix it unless I pay for a stamp & envelope & return check! I'm being inconvenienced while grieving the loss of my E.S.A & I have to pay for a stamp & envelope & send it trackable so I can prove they got it to return the check? Its going to cost me more than the refund & it was THEIR ERROR!!! I offered to write "VOID" in marker across check & send picture. If I had cast the check they would never get the check back they would just see a copy of it on their bank statement. Why is my solution unacceptable? They said "no". This is unreasonable, this is poor customer service and I should not be inconvenienced or made to spend money on their mistake.

3/14/2023 Took sick dog to emergency vet as we have taken this pup to this establishment previously for a tooth needing pulled as well as took another one of our dogs! This was the worst visit! Staff very unprofessional we were ripped off they make up prices as they go; every time I asked a price on something they had to go ask the “doctor”! Was told dog needed X-rays for issue we was coming in for; which we were charged $205 for X-rays! X-rays showed nothing then wanted to charge us another $300 for lab work for our dog! We refused to pay to get labwork done; after a “exam” “X-rays” and 3 medications we walked out spending $588! Never ever been charged this much going to this establishment! When I asked whom I needed to contact to file a complaint I was told the doctor we saw tonight was the “owner” of this vet office! An office should NOT be allowed to rip the American people off like this! The staff was very rude; when we had more questions to ask the doctor regarding our sick dog we was told the doctor was busy “with charts”! This place is so unprofessional and in my opinion operating fraudulently with their prices!

My wife took our dog here last night (1/2/2023) with him having what ended up being pancreatitis. He was in a lot of pain and they said estimated cost was $600 to treat. Cost ended up being over $900 and this morning (1/3/2023) dog is still in a lot of pain. Called and asked about pain medication and was told it is not necessary and that is not included in the $907 bill paid. They want another $30!! Was over talked on the phone by extremely rude receptionist. Horrible service and dog is in misery right now and all I hear is give us more money! I have contacted News 2 WFMY and currently waiting for their return phone call. This place should be embarrassed and ashamed of this behavior! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE FOR THE SAFETY OF THE ANIMAL!

We visited the After Hours Vet on Nov. 2 after our dog got lacerations in both paws after our own vet was closed. We were told by the vet that these lacerations would be completely stitched up. We were told the bandages could be removed after 48 hours and the stitches could be removed by our vet in a couple weeks. When the bandages were removed after 48 hours, we saw no stitches at all in contrast with what we were told, and paid for. That weekend the lacerations opened back up and began bleeding from our dog just walking around in the back yard. We cleaned and bandaged up our dog ourselves, given it was the weekend and our own vet was closed on the weekend also. We called the After Hours Vet office to ask why there were no stitches and were told to call back on November 7. We did so, and were told by the business manager that the vet would call us to discuss. We never received a call, so I called back later in the week on Nov. 10 to speak with their business manager again, and again our call was not returned. We took our dog to our own vet, who was not complementary about the after hours vet services we received. They did ultimately find just 2 stitches in one laceration, but told us that clearly the laceration was much larger and should have been far more thoroughly stitched up, and the second laceration should also have been stitched. But neither laceration have had stitches beyond the 2 insufficient stitches they found.?? By then it was too late to stitch up the wounds correctly. Our vet needed to prescribe even more antibiotics because the wounds were still not closed. Not only were the services misrepresented to us, they were at best ineffective, and at worst potentially damaging to our dog’s health if we had not been paying close attention. We are asking for a refund of $700, which is about half the amount we paid to the office, and have filed a claim with our credit card provider for that amount. We'll retract our claim if the vet credits us $700.

Here is the bill we received for services. For the sake of convenience, we are asking the After Hours Vet to simply reverse the charge for the larger of the two payments made.
