            Merican Muffler of Greensboro charges $100 hourly if you use their parts.They charge $125 hourly if you bring your own parts.(This is excessive labor charge.) 1/06/22--merican mufflr charged me $225 labor to install 1 new u-joint on my 2 wheel drive pick up.(I stopped the shop from doing second u-joint when i discovered cost) Complained to supervisor charge was excessive,no adjustment.Returned the next day and again say charge excessive,no adjustment. I then went to Rice Toyota and got a printed estimate of repair--$310 labor for 2 u-joints installed. That means $155 for 1 u-joint !! I then went to another local repair shop and they installed the second u-joint for $120 labor !! So, Merican Muffler was $70 over highest estimate and $105 over local repair actual cost !! I consider this to be price gouging and unreasonable compared to the other local shops repair cost !! If Merican Muffler unobtrusively posts their labor rates,that does not mean those are fair market rates. Merican Muffler did not advise me of their rates and did not point out hourly labor. Their rates are not comparable to other local shops and are excessive !!
