On 5/25/2022 I entered a publishing contract with Fiery Beacon Publishing House, LLC. They advertise as a Christian Publishing Company, in which I paid $3400 to include: vision casting; Front/Back Cover; editing, formatting and publishing of my manuscript on ******; book into other stores; ISBN purchase; Copy write registration/assignment; an e-book version of book (which was never done); book mock-ups; basic press release and (55) paperback copies. I'm writing to file a formal complaint against "Fiery Beacon Publishing House, LLC" for their unethical business practices, specifically regarding the handling of residuals from my book sales and release of all statistics on ************* * *****, the withholding of the release of my e-book, and their failure to respond appropriately after being served with a legal document. Yes the book is indeed published on ******, but the Publisher uploaded it under their personal ****** account, even after they explicitly asked if I would prefer to manage it myself, responding yes. They attended my Book Release party, where they agreed to remove the book and release the sales statistics, but have not responded since. My access to their communications portal, the "Monday" application has been blocked and my last few requests ignored. Their admin did inform me of a death in their family in September. But my book was published on ****** 3/21/23, my book release party was 5/6/23 (when we last spoke) and I've not received any sales statistics, or a residual check. ****** pays out monthly and the publisher claims to pay out quarterly. I've contacted a Lawyer and they've been served over 30 days ago, with a Cease and Desist, to remove the book, with no response. At this point the contract is voided, I need them to un-publish the manuscript, removing it from ******, ****** * ***** and all other outlet. And release all sales stats and monies collected from my manuscript. Nobody pours their heart into a book for the publisher to take it.Business response

Great Day,
We are sending this communication in regard to a complaint submitted previously but received by us today, December 15, 2023. We begin by sending our apologies; the client knows, as do we, that how we started does not parallel where we sit in this moment. During the time that we serviced the client, we have provided services out of the scope of what was submitted payment-wise. A number of factors have impacted this response along with the process of this literary work, including the number of pages within the manuscript, and the unexpected passing of two individuals, one of which was my mother. Upon our closure, we sent notification to EVERY author advising them of what had occurred and that we would be closed until a specified date. Due to subsequent medical complications that date has been extended until January 2024 for health reasons. This information has also been disclosed.
In relation to our payout schedule, as shown in the attached screenshot, payouts are released approximately 60 days after meeting the specified threshold. Again, we have been CLOSED and had ceased all activity to give us the time needed to adjust to the loss suffered. This information has also been released to authors in the form of our Act of God statement, allowing us and authors as it applies, up to (1) year to recover and reset from any instances that were out of their control such as death, loss of property, etc. We had not received any Cease and Desist letter until this very moment today, as we are reviewing the complaint. Therefore, her book has been immediately submitted for removal from all outlets as she has requested. She will be able to submit for re-upload within 3/5 business days as advised by KDP should she choose to continue on that platform.
We send these updates, with our deepest apologies. Though we do not currently hold possession of any royalty amounts, we will review the communication sent to forward any royalties to the former client. Should they decide to receive them electronically, they are free to provide that information to the email address made available to our clients for our administrative team.
