I had a mammogram on 2/9/2021. I have health insurance that pays for this service. The charge was $451 and my insurance paid the bill on 2/23/2021. However, In July of 2021 I received a bill saying I owed the $451. I called my insurance company and they verified this company was paid the 451 on 2/23/21. I then called the company and was told that the insurance money was "pending" and had not posted, but they would send a message and take care of it. I then got another bill the next month. I called back and got the same response, but was assured it would be taken care of. Then in October, I get a call from a collection agency, ********* ********** ********, saying I had been turned over to collections for the $451. I called this Diagnostic back and was told the same story. Also, was told by the representative from Diagnostic that he was emailing ********* and ask them to cancel the collection and that it was sent in error. Also, he assured me that this would be taken care of. The money from the insurance company was just "pending" and not posted. I asked that someone call me back to let me know this had been resolved. Two days later, no one had called. I called back and got the same run around again but was assured it had been taken care of. Fast forward to Monday when I receive a letter from Diagnostic apologizing for the bill I was sent. They said it was sent in error and that the collection agency was handling this bill and I need to contact them. I called the collection agency and was told yes, it was still showing as owed and no one had contacted them about removing the collection. I called Diagnostic twice yesterday demanding to speak to a manager and I get told someone will call me within 72 hours. I don't now what else to do. The collection agency said this will go on my credit if not paid soon.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and I accept it. After a year of back and forth, them sending me to a collection agency, and contacting BBB, I finally got this resolved. I have changed imaging centers and won’t go here again. Had I not pushed and stayed on top of this, this collection would have went on my credit. This happens a lot with medical collectors. It’s a shame that they had my money, but kept billing me saying it hadn’t been posted. Made so sense
