On 8/23/23 my wife and I hired TRC ROOFING & CONSTRUCTION INC. to provide us with a floor plan drawing (blueprint) for a room addition. He received an $800.00 payment upfront with the understanding that he would submit a blueprint via email on 8/28/23 as the owner William J**** told us. On the date of 8/30/23 my wife reached out to Mr. J**** and he doesn't respond, I reach out to Mr. J**** seconds later and he answers very unprofessional, irate, and indicated that "he was with whatever" after words were exchanged. He then proceeded to say he would have blueprint ready 9/01/23 to be turned in by 3 p.m. Mr. J**** dropped a copy of the blueprint off on 8/31/23 which was nothing like we said we wanted and we even provided a blueprint of our own to have as a guide and he still did everything wrong! On 9/1/23 we proceeded to call Mr. J**** to let him know that everything was done wrong and he texted back 15 minutes before the time he said he would submit and said he's already submitted, without consulting with us to make sure everything was correct!

I was approached by an individual while standing in line at a local grocery store, and he asked could I pull permits for a room addition? I advised him my company does room additions, and my company is registered with the City Of Greensboro as a builder for projects under $30,000. So he asked could I follow him to a customers house, to look at a job for him. I advised I could not go at that time, but we could meet later. He was Very pushy! That should have been a warning sign, but I proceed anyway because I'm a nice guy and he seemed to be in desperate need, and I like to help people that seem to be in need. So we meet with Mrs. **********, and her partner ****** *****. in meeting with the customers, I asked how big they want the addition, I explained how the roof for the addition will sit on top of the roof at the back of the house. I advised Mrs. ********** that the roof will slope down from the back of the house to the front of the addition, he exact words at that moment where "I don't really know what that means, but as long as Billy approves, then I leave that to you two. We talked about what she wanted inside the addition, and we concluded, she wanted a large walk-in closet, a hallway that provides a wall separating the bedroom, and walk-way to the door leading into the main house, and leads to the door at the front of the addition. She also advised she wanted two windows, and one door. In regard to brick or siding, that was never discussed, so my architect assumed it would be siding, since its in the back yard, and out of view from the street. When I brought the invoice for the deposit, I advised the plans will include my architects credentials, and the drawings required to pull the permit. The Invoice included $800 deposit for drawings, and $400 to submit and provide approval of drawings. I received the $800 for the drawings, and I provided 2'x3' hardcopy blueprints delivered to their house. I have not submitted anything to the City at this point because Mrs. ********** now wants to change to roof, and the siding to brick. TRC has provided what they have paid for. They can submit the drawings as is, or they will need to find another contractor to make changes. TRC is done with this project.

The owner of this company William J**** aka Bill J**** came to my property and said he was an architectural engineer and could draw some blueprints for a room addition on my home. He asked for $800 up front to draw the blueprints. I paid the money and told him what I wanted which was a room addition with vinyl siding and a triangle roof. He drew up an all brick room addition with a shed style roof and sent me the blueprint. I clearly told him do not submit the blueprint to get approved by the city because it’s wrong. He sent me a message about 15 min after that saying the blueprint is sent I’ll let you know when approved. I keep calling to inspections and he has not submitted anything for my property. He spelled my name wrong on the paperwork and i clearly texted him the correct spelling of my name. Every detail of this project he has done incorrectly. I’ve been calling him and it goes directly to voicemail like he has me blocked. He has been so unprofessional about every aspect and I paid him upfront. I was told that he should have told me to get a survey of my property before even drawing up blueprints which is something he should have known if he was an accredited engineer. He is out here scamming for money and portraying to be something that he is not. He even provided me with a signed invoice that stated he could do all of these things as well as get it approved which I can provide along with text messages between him and I. He needs to pay consequences for his actions, well lack thereof.
