I bought a used car three days ago and the engine shut off and overheated while I was driving on the highway I40. This was a very dangerous situation as I couldn't see much ahead of me because of the smoke. I paid $5200 for it. I test drove if and none of these problems were evident. I want the car fixed or money refunded.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
The dealer owner sent the car for repairs but the problems got worse. Smoke and burnt oil smell as soon as car starts. At first Keith I believe is his name,, did not want me to check the car he wanted me to just pay for those repairs and drive the car out. We both saw the large plume of smoke after that he appeared to be very angry at me for not taking the damaged car.Business response

I was more than happy for Mr ****** to inspect his vehicle and when the vehicle was cranked it did put a large amount of smoke out of the exhaust pipe. This could be a sign of further damage done to the vehicle while Mr ****** drive the car while it was overheated due to the crack in the radiator. I at no point got upset with Mr ******, I only responded to him in the same manor in which he was speaking with meCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because:
The fact remains that this person sold me a car he knew was damaged. The fact that he was paying for half the cost of replacing the radiador proves that. Unfortunetly for both of us, The problem goes beyond The radiador and into a damaged engine. The Best course of acction is for Finn Auto Group to refund the $5200 I paid to get a working vehicle. At this point threre is no other aceptable outcome.Initial Complaint

I purchased a car from this business April 13th 2021 with 135140 miles on it. The car was inspected prior to my purchase August 24th 2020 with 135152 miles on it. Therefore miles had to of been erased prior to my purchase. When I got the car home I realized one of my headlights was not working. The business then sent me to their mechanic to have it fixed and I was told they would pay for it. After finding out the problem and price to have it fixed the business no longer wanted to pay for it. The car has had nothing but issues since I bought it. I have had to replace the headlight, ballast, catalytic converter, six coils, spark plugs, battery, alternator, and am now having to replace the transmission. The business has been of no help whatsoever. I’m filing a complaint here and will be calling the DMV of NC first thing Monday morning to report fraud due to mileage being erased.
