On 4/22/2022, I was seen in this office & received a service that cost $250. I paid Blue Sky $250 for the procedure as the office advised that the procedure was not covered by health insurance. The office staff stated they would submit a claim to my health insurance company (UMR) since they are in the network with my insurance carrier. Unfortunately the office did not submit the claim so UMR advised that I could submit a claim directly to UMR. I called Blue Sky and asked for a statement that included the CPT code for the procedure. I submitted a claim directly to UMR. On 6/22 I spoke to UMR and they advised that the CPT provided was not a valid code. I called Blue Sky and the representative that I spoke with advised that they do not have a CPT code for the procedure at it is not covered by the insurance company. Long story short, I requested that UMR get involved with this situation since Blue Sky was in violation of their provider contract with UMR by not filing the medical claim. UMR approved the claim & allowed $98.10 which they paid directly to me since I paid Blue Sky on 4/22/2022, $151.90 was discounted. Blue Sky owes me the $151.90. I spoke with Cara and Melissa in Blue Sky's billing department about this on 8/1. They insisted that the procedure was not covered by my insurance company. I contacted my UMR, and they reached out to Blue Sky and left messages for Blue Sky to contact them. Yesterday, (8/5/2022) UMR representative Kevin spoke to Blue Sky representative Cara and faxed her the explanation of benefits showing that the procedure was a covered procedure. Cara advised that she would have her manager, Melissa, contact me today. I called Blue Sky today and left a voice mail message and asked that someone call me concerning this matter. I haven't heard back from Blue Sky. I am reaching out to the BBB because of the attitude that Blue Sky had with me when I explained that it was covered. I would like the $151.90 refunded back to me.Customer response

I spoke with my medical insurance cimpany and they spoke to the medical provider. This issue has been resolved. Please close the complaint case #********. Pliers let me know this has been closed.
