From February to August of 2021 I went to this practice for my OB care. I was told I had to pay my deductible up front if I was to be seen and that their billing manager ***** had spoken to my insurance and this is what they came up with, assuming Dr. ********************** would deliver my child. I reluctantly agreed and paid the amount of over $2,000. I have gone through my claims and I only owed this provider $74 for the duration of treatment. I left this practice at 36 weeks because of her unethical and unprofessional behavior. I was refunded $90 (after calling and calling with no response) and the billing manager told me she did all but deliver the baby. I feel like an absolute idiot for trusting this provider with my money and the well being of my child. Now the billing from the hospital I delivered at has just come back this month and I owe that same deductible that I already paid to Dr. ********************** to the hospital. I would like my deductible refunded (or at least shown met) so I can atleast pay the hospital because nowhere in my EOBs does Carolina womens show that I paid the deductible. This is fraud and completely dishonest. The provider did not like the fact that I did not want to be induced prior to my due date and that I couldnt understand why I had to pick a date to be induced if I had no complications. I had previously let the provider know that I wanted to go the most natural route. I want others to know to steer clear of this office because if you dont agree with your treatment and choose to leave they will keep your money. I know she has to live with her wrongdoing, but the fact that I have to pay the $2,000 deductible again when it was already paid in full is absurd. I cant afford it either. I would appreciate any help as the billing has just come back this month from the hospital (or I would have filed a claim sooner).
