I paid Alabama Havanese; Deborah L***** $2600 for a puppy that was not received. Repeated requests for information on puppy genetics or background has been refused. Requests for the paid puppy or a refund has been ignored or refused. We are seniors citizens and I feel that we have been financially exploited by Alabama Havanese. This Business took our money. Owner become belligerent when asked for information on the puppy. Owner has fraudulently taken our money.Business response

THE FOLLOWING IS AN EMAIL RESPONSE TO THE COMPLAINING CUSTOMERS *** *** ***** ***
You are in breach of contract by not taking delivery of the puppy "Carmelita" which was scheduled for the first delivery May 22, 2022, for the amount of $140.00. The meeting place was Johnson City, TN, a location you and ***** choose. ****** ******** of **** **** ***** ********* was the delivery person. Bussiness card attached. ***** then sent a text on May 21, 2022 stating the only way you could take delivery of "Carmelita" was to bring her all the way to your home. ****** ******** quoted you for the 8 hour round trip of $450.00 which you declined. For some reason you were unwilling to meet at the first location of Johnson City. Next you decided to take delivery of "Carmelita" on May 27, 2022 using the same location of Johnson City, TN and **** **** ***** *********. The fee was to be the same as first discussed of $140.00. Again, at the last minute *** asked a lot of questions that normally are asked prior to purchasing a puppy and certainly not when a couple already own and love an AHK puppy. As was explained many times over and over again, I was preparing for overnight company and a Memorial Day party and had limited time to speak. Especially, when text messages were been sent with context containing ugly and untrue accusations and name calling. When questions were not answered fast enough you accused me again of suspicious behavior. Even though I asked kindly for you to wait until a later time to speak when my company was gone. You again backed out of the delivery stating I lied about the parentage of "Carmelita". You asked if I knew "how to read" well I will ask you to please read your contract again as the parents are clearly stated at the very top of said contract. I have attached the AKC paperwork which also corresponds the same parents as the contract. "Carmelita" is not for sale as we are in an obvious depute. My contract clearly reads no REFUND. It also clearly states a daily boarding fee for leaving a puppy. You had me hold this puppy until she was 10 weeks of age.
This would have been this couples second puppy from AHK (Alabama Havanese KennelA) just two weeks ago they were sending me texts that they loved me. The complaints started when *** returned from Paris and was too tired to pick up her new puppy after I had already kept the puppy for two addtional weeks. I have the same contract I had (at least to the best of my knowedge) as whhen the purchased their first Havanese from me in 2020. They knew there was no refund.
