The business refuses to email me my dog's prescription but can email the records to new vet. They will not cooperate with providing me prescriptions to have filled outside of their pharmacy. I live an hour away and the only option they give me is to drive an hour to pick up the prescription. They also refuse to fax the prescription to a pharmacy of my choice. Any prescriptions should be able to be faxed to a pharmacy of my choice and it is my dog's prescription. This should be illegal and I will be elevating this issue! They know I'm an hour away and no it is an easy for me to make it to their office! What type of veterinarian will not work without pharmacies to keep our pets protected! Now my dog has to go without preventatives for two weeks while I wait for another appointment for another veterinarian because this one refuses to send the prescription to another pharmacy because they want to make the money off the prescriptions.Business response

Hi good morning the client wanted to get a prescription faxed to Chewy as our policy we do not send faxes or emails to Chewy because in the past they have misused our doctors vet license number and have changed directions on some of our prescriptions therefore if the client would like a prescription for chewy they would have to come in person and pick it up. We offered to send the prescription through our online pharmacy and it would have still gotten to them at the same time as they were gonna receive it from chewy. We also have a compounding pharmacy that is right up the road from us and told her we could call it in there for her and it would be ready for pickup by the time she got here if you have any further questions you can reach me at ************ thank you and have a nice day.Customer response

Their response is wholly inaccurate. I asked about *****, ***'s club or if they could fax it anywhere for me, and they refused to fax it at all unless it was sent to their own pharmacy. I will be submitting a vet misconduct complaint as well, because this is not ethical. I was never given any compounding pharmacy option at all during the call, and they would not email me a prescription to take where I wished. If you can email records, you should be able to email prescriptions to me. None of their communication is consistent. Thank you West Hills for being so hard to deal with, because as a result, I found the best new vetinaruan hospital who actually cares about my pups and doesn't treat us like we are a number or just an open wallet to fund building repairs. I'm upset I didn't switch long ago. Hopefully others in that small town will do the same! I will not ************* Hills Vet!
