My Fianc and I were in Hickory and it was late so we decided to stop and get a Hotel room. Budget Inn was the closest Hotel to us at the time so we headed over.. I asked the Gentleman at the Front about the price for a room with 1 bed and he told me the cost. I paid and we went on to the room. I have been disappointed in hotel rooms in the past but pretty much wrote it off as you get what you pay for, Budget inn did not have a Trash can in the room.. the bathroom had filth built up in the shower and on the toilet so it was apparent that it had not been cleaned after the last use. The bed sheets had food or something all over them so that told me the linens had not been changed since the last customer. That is totally unacceptable! I called down to the front desk for a trash can and the Gentleman told me there is a big dumpster outside throw it over the rail into the dumpster and hung up on me! there is no mini fridge in the room as advertised! The headboard is sitting beside the bed leaned against the wall! Someone from the state or whoever looks over hotels should definitely check this establishment out! I have never left a bad review on any place or anyone but this place is that bad !!! I requested my money back as soon as we walked in and I seen the cap of a syringe laying on the vanity top.. 5-10 mins after paying him I requested my money be refunded to my card and he refused! I wanted to shower and I did not feel comfortable taking a shower without cleaning it with clorox... they wouldn't provide that either.
