Terrible place to purchase a vehicle, I have my vehicle exactly 5mos, it was in there shop 3 or 4 times during this time. I just wasted my money & time with them! I should have looked at some of the reviews they had, & I also should have had a carfax ran on that vehicle they sure didn't provide one. Just a bad experience for me lost money, time, & at times talked to rudely. How are you talking to me rudely & yall in the wrong, cause you sold me a car with several issues!!!

During the time of loan closing customer was clearly informed on payment terms and expectations. Payments are expected to be made on time. Customer also gave authorization to receive text messages as a reminder of upcoming or past due payment

Be cautious, the best advice I can give you is to move on to another dealership I purchased a 2011 Ford fusion. However I didn’t get to pick out my own vehicle. They picked it out for me and it had over 200,000 miles on it when I purchased it. And I have been making my payments. I also had to put $1500 down when I was told I could get the car for $1000 down these people are very unprofessional. They are unkind. They have no compassion and they will sell you a lemon that is exactly what they sold me so now because the car has had some issues I’m sure because it has over 200,000 miles on it from the time I purchased it they want to charge me $900 to get the car back , so I have informed them to keep the car because it is not worth the money that I am paying for it. And I have called to let them know I will be picking up my tags on Monday and these people want to tell me they will take care of my tags for me on Thursday. This place is completely a mistake. Take your money and go somewhere else the best advice I can give you.

Customer was approved on a vehicle that she qualified for based on our underwriting policies. Soon after the purchase we became aware that vehicle was being driven by someone who is not on the loan, which is a violation of her contract. In addition, there were numerous late payments on the account. Customer is no longer in possession of the vehicle.

They are scammers! I rented a car, not to tell you that it wasn't vacuumed out when I got it, and they tried to say I smoked in it!! I don't even smoke and nobody smoked in that car. It was dust in the car from when we rented it but nothing else! And the young lady at the front desk tried to get smart!! They have no customer service skills and I would not recommend anybody to go there for anything! They need money and look for ways to keep yours! I called the manager and she said she walked outside to take a look in the car, I was sitting in the parking lot and she NEVER came outside to look. It's bad customer service and they will not be getting business from me, my family, or friends.

Customer rented a car from our rental company on 6/26/2023. At the time of rental check out the vehicle was clean and smoke free. Any damages to the exterior of the vehicle were noted on the check out sheet, which customer signed. Customer was advised of all of our terms and conditions, particularly the No Smoking policy. In fact Customer signed an agreement form acknowledging her understanding of these policies. Upon return of the vehicle, there was clear evidence of smoking in the vehicle. The car smelled of cigarette smoke and When we inspected the vehicle there were ashes on the dash, steering wheel, drivers side front AND rear floorboards. Due to Customer's failure to adhere to our policies she forfeited her deposit for a cleaning fee. I have all forms signed by Customer and can upload and send if provided a method to do so. This place is bogus they lie about everything . I’ve been having an issue with this 2009 Nissan Altima from the very beginning Everytime I bring it in they tell me they will look at it and fix it ,all they do is continue to plug it up and turn the light off light has came back on 3 times since the car has a horrible knock and shake when it’s idling , the fluids was bone dry so how did you ever give me an oil change or top off fluids. The car keeps running hot and I’ve only had the car for two months, Ive informed them that I wanted to return the vehicle and move forward Ty informed me that it would still go on my credit as a repo even though it hadn’t been 90 days. then began to tell me to bring my car in for them to keep it for two days; they were not willing to compensate even though it was an issue they caused. I spoke with Whitney where I was telling her about my issues and discrepancies , she told me they could have the car picked up and it wouldn’t be on my credit.I told her give me some time to think it over 45 minutes a later a tow truck pulled up to try and take my car on 4/10 /23 I never gave her any consent we left off with me suppose to be calling her back suppose to be a supervisor who became disrespectful telling me it was nothing she could do the car was getting picked up. I also tried to speak with Justin in services who tried to tell me that he thought it was best that they stop doing business with me because I informed them several times that I had a lawyer. ?! He was very bias to me explaining what Whitney had done I informed him I wanted to make my payment. He told me I would have to talk to Whitney and it was noone else I could talk too I simply tried to explain where a voluntary pick up was made with out my CONSENT they told me they don’t do grace periods and even though I never had a late payment or missed payment before I was only 10days behind on my payment that’s what prompted pick up which was a LIE now they asking me to turn the car in

Customer has been advised several times that she would need to make an appointment and leave car to address service issues. She has declined those offers. Additionally, customer stated on several occasions that she wished to turn the car in due to the service issues. We agreed to offer her a release from her contract. When the agent arrived at her address to secure the vehicle on 4/10/2023 customer pulled a gun on him and begin making verbal threats. We advised agent to leave the premises for his own safety. Customer has refused to make payment and has not surrendered the car as agreed.

Unfortunately there was no option for zero stars. Read the reviews and believe them . They prey on people with minimum options .I wouldn’t even suggest this place as a last option better off walking . The few good reviews are not legitimate they pay gas card if you write a good review before leaving the lot. They do not report to credit b been months and I don’t even see it on my report but I’m sure if I drop the lemon off they will be quick to report negatively. Bring a mechanic with you the lot is filled with lemons warranty they provide is crap they will give you the run around to fix problems that will occur within a month of purchase & the excuse is “it’s a used car” I was sold a car with water damage and it was not disclosed . Salesmen are great and anyone can walk off with keys but what comes easy always has a price.

Ms. ***** was given every opportunity to bring her account to current after several repossessions for non payment. Repossession is always a last resort and occurs when the customer is unwilling or unable to make payment as agreed to in the contract they signed. We have strict procedures that are followed when repossession occurs. Personal items are collected and bagged and tagged and delivered to a secure location and customer is notified that their items are available for pick up. Ms. ***** was notified on 8/23/2022 that her items were available for pickup and she did so on that date.

Hometown Auto and Credit is an organization that preys on those who are out of work, need transportation in order to get work or take care of their families. They are untrustworthy and double talk. I'm sure that with research you could find others that have had the same experiences. DO NOT purchase a vehicle here! They are unreasonable on payment terms and have a kill switch in all cars they sell. If you are a couple of hours late on the payment, they disable the vehicle. My vehicle broke down as soon as I bought it and they still demanded full payment even though they were in possession of the vehicle. Hometown Auto and Credit operates as scammers, know nothing about customer service and are usurious lenders! I'm also going to send a complaint to the Guilford County District Attorney and Mr. Josh Stein, my life experience proves that when businesses operate like Hometown, it's easy for law enforcement to pull back their cover. Not making threats, but I am NOT going to stand in the long line of desperate and abused victims they have assembled over the years because no one has challenged them legally.

We have no customer in our database with the name of ***** *****. If this supposed customer would provide the name on the account they are referencing we would be more than happy to respond.

When customer provided correct name we were able to review the account in our database. Mr. ***** ****** purchased this vehicle from our dealership on 5/3/2022. Mr. ****** and Co-Borrower were well aware of loan terms and payment dates and requirements when they signed all paperwork and were walked through the closing step by step. When customer had service issues with the vehicle we replaced the transmission at a cost of $2,400 and customer only had to pay a $100 deductible. We do our very best to work with customers regarding payments. We have made several concessions to this customer regarding late payments, which is a courtesy not a requirement. Customers are expected to make scheduled payments on their loan to keep their account in good standing.
