Don't bother with 12 Oaks. Concert buys communities but won't provide the upkeep despite all residents paying monthly towards those amenities. They also sell memberships to the club but don't use that money towards the repairs and upkeep either. Twelve Oaks is comprised of a wonderful group of neighbors, and it deserves to be respected by Concert (especially since we tolerate the traffic from all of the club memberships sold to non-residents). Instead, we watched as Concert took away a room formerly used for senior citizen dance classes and daily meetings to turn it into an F45 fitness center. Free for residents? No. Residents are prohibited from using F45 (even though this used to be a fitness room for residents) unless they are willing to pay hundreds over and above the monthly social and club dues. How community friendly, right? The Community Garden sounds nice, doesn't it? It used to be. Residents would love to see someone reinstated to care for the Community Garden. It has been blatantly neglected by Concert and their operational staff. The golf course "grounds crew" planted some flowers in random spots within the garden last spring (most of which died from neglect and overgrown weeds). Concert doesn't care about this garden, but the residents do, and Concert should care even the smallest bit for what the residents expect and need (I imagine their CEO laughing at that belief). The broken fencing, overgrown weeds, and lack of overall maintenance and care of this area is a disgrace to the community. Residents pay a large fee yearly to "enjoy" the Community Garden. The privilege to garden there doesn't come cheap, and all of the residents wonder where that money goes. Those thousands aren't being used for upkeep and appearance. That's for certain! The embarrassing and trashy "event tent" is a sore thumb. We see classy new communities added to Concert's roster and we still have a plastic bouncy house for events. Don't get me started on the dining options.
