I had the clutch changed on my car, 2014 Mini Paceman S all4 with less than ****** miles, and when I dropped the car off on 02-09-2023 I informed the shop that someone already tried to do the job and quit. (A friend was there and witnessed me tell the shop that fluids were drained from the car.) They told me they would make sure the car was all good before it got back to me. I got the car back on 02-23-2023 it was fine then on 03-04-2023 I was driving to a friends house and the shifting start to get very hard to do and then on the way back from the friends house on 03-05-2023 I lost a gear in the transmission. I called the shop on 03-06-2023 and asked them some questions and while doing so they told me they did not even check to see if the transmission needed to be filled. Now the car is broke down again requiring even more maintenance than the first time. (The average cost for a new transmission for my car is $6,000 plus labor and the car is only worth $9,000 on a trade in.) When I asked if they would honor their work they said it wasnt their problem because they didnt drain the transmission. The only reason it took this long for me to make a complaint is because I was just informed that the BBB could help me with my situation. I would like for them to fix the car for me free of change and/or pay off the cars loan. It just seems to me that a shop that is highly recommended in the local car community would have more pride in their work.
