I signed a contract with Charlotte Landscape and Patio in April of 2021 to install a travertine patio, a stairway leading down to the patio and replacement of wood deck rails. The patio was completed in June 2021. I paid a $10,000 deposit toward the cost of materials and then paid another $7500 once the patio was completed. Work for the stairway was supposed to begin the following week after the patio was completed. I was then contacted by ****** Parks who told me the cost of materials had gone up and he wanted to put the project on hold to see if material prices would go down. After a few weeks, I contacted ****** again and he told me he could begin the work, but would need to charge more, even though we had a contract for a specific price. Work has yet to be completed, so on September 20, I asked ****** for a refund of $4875, which is the amount that was paid in addition to the cost of the patio. I asked for to receive a check within 10 business days. I have not received anything.Business response

Yes we are aware of this customers issue. We agree that a refund is due. We will be issuing a refund to the customer today delivered by U S Mail.
