My experience was great. I worked with ****** *****. From the opening bell, we hit it off. I did a VA. Cash Out Refi. He was super knowledgeable and amazingly transparent. I have some experience, but ****** took my knowledge to another level. The conversations were effortless. It felt like we were old friends from college sharing product knowledge of time vested in the loan business. I am definitely looking forward to working with him in the near future as interest rates fluctuate. States Mortgage will be my goto as long as this level of service is available to me.States Mortgage Company, Inc.

****** can't be trusted, had one initial phone call with him, he said he would call me back then a total ghost. Texted him a few times and no reply at all. I am retired Army and was acquiring about a VA loan, guess I will take my business elsewhere. This was my first and will be my last interaction with States Mortgage company, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!States Mortgage Company, Inc.

Mr. ****** and I have spoken about this. The loan officer, ******, was delayed in getting back to him (the span of time from the initial call to this complaint was 4 hours), which was frustrating for Mr. ******* We have since provided refinance options and had communications to the satisfaction of Mr. *******Review fromGregory W

Completely, utterly disrespectful! Would never recommend this company to anyone! This was from the underwriter for ***************! They claimed they couldnt meet what was discussed the day prior, so I stated I wasnt interested and hung up. I repeatedly got phone calls and then was told the phone call would be ended if I raised my voice in which I pretty much said to go s**** yourself, Ill do it for you and then received these text messages from the underwriter!States Mortgage Company, Inc.

Thank you for sending the complaint over. I spoke to the loan officer and the person he is referring to as the underwriter. The loan officer provided ************** with a proposal for a refinance as ************** requested. ************** was satisfied with the proposal and asked to provide an application. His credit scores were much lower than he thought which forced us to revise the proposal. Upon hearing his credit scores were lower he became upset. While we were explaining (on a recorded line), ************** got upset with my representative and raised his voice. We asked him to lower his tone and he said, you know what, f*$k you then. I will not allow my staff to be treated this way. No one should. We are licensed professionals and require anyone we interact with to be respectful. It sounds to me like ************** has a problem with the credit bureaus and how they judge his debt situation that he created. I wish I could be more helpful and offer something to resolve his complaint however I am unsure what he wants. If he were to make a commitment to be respectful I am sure that my loan officers would be willing to speak to him again and give him the best service possible.Review fromAndrew T

************************* NMLS ID ****** was completely unprofessional when we explained our work schedule made ** unable to be in constant phone contact during the last week we worked with him. We informed **** we were working with him, our bank, and our friend Joy shopping for the best rate. The week we were working out of town (which we informed ****) he continuously blew ** up and accused ** of ghosting him when we didnt respond in what HE seemed to be appropriate time. Keep in mind we were texting him back just could not be on phone due to our jobs keeping us on camera all day. We sent any requested documentation very timely but could not talk on home due to being on camera for our business and a grueling work schedule. He accused ** of ghosting him despite communication. Suffice it to say we fired **** officially in writing once he made the accusatory comments we found completely unprofessional yet we were continuously harassed with more text and emails from ****, his manager, and even the owner of the company all making excuses for his unprofessional behavior and making ** the problem. When the owner reached out on our closing day with the company we went with and asked about our experience, we simply told her we were closing and no further contact was needed, the experience was bad, to which she responded again by making excuses for **** and obviously texting him that we were closing at which point **** text us that we were SCUM. He acted as if he wasnt completely aware wed been working with other companies and when we didnt go with him as he thought we should he thought hed call us SCUM. We even have the text messages. We are appalled and would NEVER recommend anyone use a company that wreaks of such desperation to be so nasty to the customer and defend their own bad behavior. Its obvious this behavior trickles down from the top.States Mortgage Company, Inc.

I reviewed all communication with ****** and ******************************* and States Mortgage. They were working with another mortgage company when they called **. We presented loan terms to them, which they accepted. They indicated we were beating their other loan and that they were cancelling that loan and going with **. From that point we followed standard protocols and processed their application. It appears as though around the 27th of April they took our disclosures back to their original lender and used them as leverage to get them to match our offer. At that point they were too busy on camera to re-engage.
We have a policy to make contact with all of our clients every 48 hours. We do this to make sure our clients are receiving the best possible service and also to prevent ** from wasting time on borrowers who are doing precisely what the Thompsons did. When a loan is submitted to underwriting a lot of wheels are put in to motion and expenses are incurred, with underwriting and with a title company. If at any point the borrower disengages we notify all of our partners to prevent any further wastage. It was evident by May 2nd that the Thompsons were not engaged. ************************* gave them an opportunity to re-engage and they chose not to. Per the communications I have reviewed (phone, email and text) there was nothing pushy about how ************************* addressed the ***************** He repeatedly tried to get them to review final numbers, help with important decisions and get them to the next step. They declined as they were already in process of finalizing the loan with their friend.
It is unfortunate that borrowers like the Thompsons use charades like this to manipulate the system, the lasting effect is that it drives up borrowing costs for everyone. Had they been honest about their intentions, everyone would have had the ability to make an educated decision and would have proceeded accordingly. Ultimately they probably would have ended up with a better loan had they been honest.
I personally contacted the Thompsons to extend an olive branch to make sure there were no hard feelings. Even though they took advantage of our services, wasted our time and ultimately used our superior pricing to negotiate with their friend, I wanted to be polite. Their response to me and the attempt at tarnishing States Mortgage reputation says that they just want to complain and blame everyone even those that tried to help them.
Thank you for the opportunity to allow me to respond. Fortunately we have the same mediums of communication that they do.Review fromRenay W

We had been trying to refi and get a cash out on our home. One company had us all set and then out of nowhere couldn't deliver. That day in my mailbox was a flyer from these guys and I thought, let me see if they can help me. It was late in the evening and ****** answered the phone. We got started with the application and the process had started. I had a lien on my home that I was desperately trying to get rid of and ****** was able to get the amount owed reduced A LOT!! Communication was amazing!! The whole process was just superb. We will definitely work with them again when the rates go down. Definitely give these people a call!!States Mortgage Company, Inc.
