      My English Bulldog **** was panting heavily after a few hours at a dog park. I was recommended to go by Urgent Vet in Huntersville to see if they could help us. Upon arrival they took **** straight back and advised if he needed surgery or an overnight stay they couldn't assist us. I assumed other areas of care since not mentioned he'd be ok in their hands. The vet Dr came out after 45 minutes saying his temp was high and they're trying to regulate him. My 15 year old daughter was with me and distraught. They came out after an hour saying his temp went from 104 to ***** back up to 104 and we'd be better off taking him up the street to Carolina Veterinary Specialist an ** for pets. They were worried he'd go into a seizure. During all of this they hand me a bill for $542.86. My daughters crying and so much is going on that I pay it trusting what they're saying. We get to the ** which is a 5 minute drive,if that. They ***************** back and take some test for his temp and blood clotting. His temp was ***** and blood levels normal no critical signs of his temp being abnormally hi. I advised them the reading I just got and they were surprised. All in all,I spoke up about this as I feel we were taken advantage of. We should've been instructed right away to drive up the street to seek care. Instead we were brought in, charged over $500, and with no resolution just to go elsewhere to be billed again. A rep called me and assured she'd escalate this. Last week another rep advised that by Wednesday someone would be in touch,he took down notes and all assuring me this. It's Friday,still no contact, and this makes no sense how were not just directed to the ** literally up the street. The readings Urgent Vet gave were definitely off,there was no temperature and he wasn't at risk of a seizure. The ** not only treated **** but got him taken care of for just $621. He's doing well thanks to CVS, his temp levels were fine and I'd like to kindly request a refund. Thank you.

      I sent an email earlier and the company is in the process of reconciling everything for me. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
