I have been trying to replace my debit card for over 1 month with no resolution. Timeline follows: April 9, 2022--I called first bank to cancel my card ending in ****. I thought there was a fraudulent charge, but later that day realized I was wrong, the charge was mine but the location of the purchase was mislabeled by the bank and I was thus confused. Once I realized my mistake I called the bank to advise that I no longer need to challenge the charge. At that time I also reiterated my need for a replacement card as I had already destroyed the one ending in **** (debit card request #1). A week later I called bank to inquire about the debit card (request #2) and was rushed off the phone by card services-he said something like "it's on the way; if it hasn't arrived by tomorrow call your local branch." The local branch does not handle debt card issues, and advised I call the same number I had been calling. Still no card. On 3/23/22 I called AGAIN (request #3) and after a 10 min conversation with a very polite representative, I was advised no card had been ordered as a result of my previous 2 requests and was assured my card was ordered on the way and would arrive in 2-3 business days. Still no card. 4/1/22 I called AGAIN and spoke to **** (request #4). **** was very polite and seemed genuinely interested in assisting me. At the end of my encounters (yes plural) with ****, he assured me he had personally requested my card and it will arrive in 3 business days and the fee for expediting the card will be waived. Well, here we are, and I still have no card. While I fully own that my mistake led to my need for a new card, I do not think First Bank has responded appropriately to my request for a new bank card. I am beyond frustrated at this point and do not think I can handle another call to the ************ number.
