I've been in constant contact with ****************** Technical College of ********** for the past few weeks now. I've been constantly getting the run around and told that I need to go to parchment to get my diploma only to have paid for a copy of my transcripts that I already have. I'm looking for a copy of my Diploma showing that I graduated a transcript is not good enough for work these days. This is something that should have been handed out weeks after the initial graduation. I never had an issue receiving my diploma prior years, but now its an issue. I've called multiple times and it goes straight to the call center and they said the register will reach back out and I've been told that a numerous times since I've called and that they would make this an urgent matter. I had my sister go up there to talk to someone and she was told that she had to make an appointment for what? You only have one program and she is only there to retrieve my diploma that I never received. Apparently this has been on going issue because my classmate as well hasn't been able to reach any one at the campus in regards to this matter. This is something that we are now in debt for now having to deal with and that's not okay that we aren't able to reach out to someone and someone be able to call back in a timely manner to address the issue. I've called the state board of ** school district all though they don't deal with colleges they too have heard that this has been an on going issue. I would like this to be resolved ASAP this is messing with how people live and that's not okay especially when you are having to pay the school back. I shouldn't have to wait 5+ years just to receive something that I worked for.

This school is straight fraud. Each semester of you attending to never received my returns. I've talked to so many people and all I keep getting is the run around. They have never followed up with me. The only thing I keep being told is it was sent out but returned. The problem is I'm still responsible for paying back money that I've never received. At this point, I'm calling and no results being giving. Stay far away from this school. This is how they make their money causing you financial distressed.

I began attending this school in October. I received a refund in December. My next refund should have been in February. I never received it. When I inquired I was told I was a mid start student and would only receive refunds every 1st and 3rd semester. Third semester came around and still no refund. I was then told they took my third semester funds to cover something else and I would receive a payment in November 2023 when I started October 2022. Ive only received One refund. They are keeping all my funding and Im accumulating thousands and thousands in debt. My daughter also attends here and only receives a $500 refund. She received more while attending a university. This school is a scam and will only put you in debt. DO NOT ATTEND ****** MOTTE!!!

I attended *********************** in 2019, ******* ** location. when I started I was told that this was an accredited college and that if I wanted to attend any college that my credits would transfer. Well that has not been the case at all. None of my credits will transfer. I have had to start all over. To add salt to the wound they have use up pell grants and my Finacial aid and now I have to come out of my pocket to finish up school. Also to add to this they shut the paralegal program down in ******* and did not withdraw me from classes so they kept taking Finacial aid. I also am trying to get this rectified with the department of education. They should loose any type of accreditation because they lie profusely to people about their accreditation.

Before I knew much about what I was doing...I jumped right into applying for this, at the time was "Collage" when in fact I was only a "Tech" school. They told me things that I wanted to hear to get me hooked in .. They showed me loan amounts that I agreed to and thought I would receive in a account after the entire school was paid for ...they told me that I was and would receive funds to be on campus even though I really wasn't on campus...they told me I would receive funds for gas and food to help keep me able to maintain while going to school full time at 40yrs old...Ive been a time card puncher my whole life ..it was hard to stop working completely to be driven into "college" . I mean think about it. I have not been using computers smartly to just jump into "college" . They never offered me a SAT, and when I asked they steared me away from it completely. Why? . Im not sure what else I need to do but ..they want to "stypen" me little funds from the loans they offered me to get ..why? I'd like to know why it cost 15000 dollars of my payments to pay these internet scammers ...which if they let me continue and pay it all off is what I will loose completely without any warning...it's so dumb ...please respond with some sort or information and until I hear something back....im gonna keep on going to theirs online "Collage" in hopes that it will all be ok.

It was years later that I found out the school was at fault not myself. I have a $40,000 student loan that I can't pay nor work in the field in which I went to school and graduated in.

I have a student loan that continues to grow but I can not get a job in the field I studied, how is it fair that my credit is horrible because I refuse to pay a loan that their was a breech in the contract.

I went to miller motte years ago i had to move due to my job also unerolled the proper way also spent thousands of dollars for a degree that i didnt recieve most of the classes where not part of my degree. This is suppose to be a hamds on school. Well anyways im now being harassed by lawyers and so called miller motte for not dropping out the proper way they hit my credit with a collection i had no idea about and now they trying to sue me and take me to court and stuff. The teachers are rude and unethical. So is the office staff where i attended years ago. They counted you absent and held it over you if u was a 2 minutes late. They didnt teach you what you needed to know either. Im so hurt by this because they really did a number on my credit and i havent recieved one bill nor a phone call about this. And nvr sent my loans back to the loan servicer even after i dropped out before the dead line.

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/01/31) */ Miller-Motte College in ************, NC has reviewed the consumer's complaint, and has found the following: The complainant attended Miller-Motte Technical College - Online (which was not facilitated through the Miller-Motte College - ************ campus but the campus located in ******, SC). The complainant had a total of three enrollments, detailed below: The Complainant enrolled in the Medical Billing and Coding program at Miller-Motte Technical College - Online from 8/7/2017 - 10/30/2017. During this time, he attended for one (1) full term and began his second term before dropping from the program on 10/30/2017. The complainant was charged tuition and fees in accordance with the terms set forth in his enrollment agreement that he signed. He received disbursements from Title IV funding to cover these charges. Because the complainant dropped on 10/30/2017, prior to completing 60% of his second term, the school performed a required Return to Title IV calculation and the amount of Title IV funding disbursed for his unearned tuition was returned to the lender as dictated by the Department of Education guidelines. This resulted in a balance of $1,202.76 being owed to the school by the complainant for the time attended. In August, 2018, the Complainant again enrolled in the Medical Billing and Coding program with Miller-Motte Technical College - Online, with an anticipated September 2018 start date. During the financial aid packaging process, he was notified about the balance owed from his previous enrollment and was instructed that, in order to re-enroll in the program, he would need to pay the previous balance owed. In an email communication exchange dated 8/28/2018 between the Complainant and the financial aid office, the Complainant was notified of the balance and requirement to repay, and the Complainant agreed to pay the prior balance through a private loan. Instead of repaying the balance as agreed, the Complainant did not begin school in September 2018, and therefore his enrollment was canceled . No additional charges were incurred by the student for this enrollment. The Complainant enrolled again in the Criminal Justice program with Miller-Motte Technical College - Online in November 2018. The student again canceled his enrollment prior to the start of his program. No additional charges were incurred by the student for this enrollment. The balance owed to the school by the Complainant was sold into collections on November 15, 2019, over two years after the balance was owed to Miller-Motte. The collection agency began reaching out to the complainant in an attempt to collect the debt on 12/26/2019.

Attended MMC- Jacksonville in 2011-2013 (roughly) they preyed on the military spouses there. After trying to continue education and possibly get more general credits at my local community college I found out that I had apparently maxed my loan limit for a 2 year degree and I was no longer able to get any fasfa because my transcripts and classes I took at MMC weren't able to be transferred to the community college here. My loans received are now double what I paid because of the interest on them over the years. Not only was I not able to continue my education but now I have loans as if I attended a four year college for a bigger/better degree. All I got was debt and a 2 yr associates that wasn't recognizable when trying to find jobs. I just want a partial forgiven for the loans paid out. (After the fact I found out some of the left over was extra and I take responsibility for that portion) but the whole place was a sham.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/15) */ During the time of the student's attendance, Miller-Motte College (MMC) in ************, NC was owned and operated by ************ Education. The school was acquired by********* Education Inc. in January 2018, and records are maintained by the campus for former students who attended under Delta ownership. As such, the school has reviewed the student's file and found that the student attended MMC - ************ from 5/23/2011 - 12/18/2013, and was awarded an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Health Records on 12/20/2013. During her time of enrollment, the student was only charged for the courses that were taken, as per the terms set forth in her enrollment agreement. The student is encouraged to contact the campus' Financial Services Officer if she has any questions regarding the tuition she was billed. MMC - ************ does not have any information related to interest charges or fees that may have accrued after the student was billed for tuition for the courses taken, and encourages the student to contact her student loan servicer for more information or to answer any questions she may have regarding this additional amount. MMC - ************ programs are designed to provide the student with vocational career training and they are not designed to prepare the student for transfer to other institutions. Acceptance of credits earned at MMC - ************ campus is determined solely by the receiving institution. The campus cannot and does not guarantee credit transfer. Should the student wish to transfer credits to another institution, MMC - ************ will provide official transcripts, for a fee, as well as course descriptions by request. Transcripts for the MMC - ************ campus can be obtained via Parchment, at: ***************************************************************** Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/10/15) */ Can't exactly transfer to another Miller motte as there isn't any where I live...I may of finished out but that doesn't mean I can now continue my education where I live because again there are no Miller motte colleges here where I live. Credits not being able to be transferred if the reason why I finished out thinking well maybe having the degree will make it worth it and I can go somewhere else to continue. Plus why would I continue anything with them when they charge twice as much as any other college that offers the same programs? I was only down there and tried to get my education there because of my ex husband being in the military. Which still the degree isn't recognized by any place I've ever applied to where I'm living. The programs were supposed to be also 'designed' to help you get experience with the externship program which mine did not. The office I was assigned to actually got closed down for unethical practices from my understanding. Not satisfied because even if I call the financial people they will tell me the same thing and there's apparently nothing that can be done. Disappointed a business has been able to run this long the way they run things. At least my experience has been able to be given to BBB and maybe others can see how shady they are with their practices. Maybe if someone could contact me then so I'm not calling and being transferred to however many people. But I doubt what I'm wanting as a resolution will be done. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/10/18) */ The student was enrolled in the Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Health Records (EHR) program 8 - 10 years ago, between 2011 - 2013, when the school was owned and operated by ************ Education. The EHR program included an externship component that was designed to provide students with an "on the job" learning experience, as students were able to experience first-hand the day-to-day operations of their career field. Supervised externships are customized to each student's program area and capabilities. Because it is an academic requirement, it requires oversight by academic staff members who are specialists in the career field. However, MMC - ************ does not, and can not, take responsibility for the overall operations of the externship site. The externship is offered by a third party that the student signs an externship agreement with. If the student was not provided with the expected externship experience, or if she had any concerns with the externship site she was assigned to, this should have been addressed with MMC - ************ during her externship course in 2013 so that the school had the opportunity to work with her to address the problem and/or re-assign her to a new externship site and evaluate the school's relationship with the site to which she was assigned. If the student is seeking assistance with finding employment in her field, she is encouraged to contact the MMC - ************ Career Services department. MMC - ************'s Career Services department works with each student throughout his or her program to determine areas of employment interest and to explore employment options. This assistance continues through graduation and is available to alumni. Students / graduates are required to provide information that enables them to partner with Career Services in achieving their career goals, and are notified of appropriate employment opportunities as they arise. Although it is impossible to guarantee each graduate a job, the Career Services office works to provide job leads and to assist the student in the employment search process.
