One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning ***** **** **** ****** ****** *****  WALK AWAY! No, don’t walk, RUN !!! Reasons for running away based on my experience from their work accomplished in April and August 2023. Also included is a synopsis of the events as they occurred. - [ ] No quality check or inspection as they advertise what so ever on the initial work accomplished. - [ ] The wiring/ blower motor speed was not connected correctly for the application. The system could not reach set demand temperature with only a six degree indoor/outdoor temperature differential. - [ ] A third technician came out the following day to fix, changed the wiring connections and burned up the brand new blower motor. - [ ] On day three a “company job site inspector” came out to inspect the entire installation. I believe the inspector was the brother in law of the owner. He assured me everything is now installed correctly and that he even double checked the wiring and that all the settings were in accordance with specifications for the the system as installed. WRONG AGAIN ! See next item below. - [ ] In August, 4 months after completion of installation, the emergency condensate drain pan became clogged and both the primary and secondary emergency float switches installed to shut the system down and prevent overflow of the drain pan failed to activate. Both switches were wired incorrectly. As a result, the pan overflowed wetting the ceiling joists, attic insulation, ceiling drywall, and carpeting below. Run away from this company. It’s “One Disaster” after another. History of the above events are chronicled with some ***** *** *********

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning Response

      09/21/2023

On April 17th we installed your new heat pump system and on April 18th our inspector was out and found an issue with the blower motor not working correctly. One of our Service Technicians was dispatched to your home that day and in the process of testing the system the motor that had been wired incorrectly failed. The technician returned to our warehouse, picked up a new OEM factory motor and returned the same day and replaced the motor. The following day you spoke with our General Manager and then spoke with the Owner about your concerns for what occurred. You expressed that you were happy with everyone that had been out but were more concerned with the warranty issues at the time. After alleviating those concerns, you were asked if you had anything additional you were more than welcome to contact either the Owner or General Manager who would gladly help you with anything further. On July 28th (3 months later) you called in with a condensate drain issue that was reported by the tenants renting the house at the time. A Service Technician was dispatched and found that your original drain line had clogged, and the float switch we installed had failed to shut down the system. The technician at the time had apparently reported to you that the float switch was miswired, but after speaking with the Technician and Installer, we don’t believe that to be the case. The condensate safety switches can be wired different ways but achieve the same goal, depending on who wires it. Nevertheless, the safety switch failed to activate as it should have allowing water damage to your ceiling. We corrected the problem with the safety switch and with your existing drain line and stopped any further water damage. Our Installation Manager visited the house to assess the water damage to the ceiling so we could have it taken care of for you. We hired a contractor to repair the water damage, which replaced the insulation in the attic and the sheetrock from the damage. The ceiling was then retextured to match and painted the hallway, kitchen and living room so everything blended. We took care of the water damage because we stand behind our work, and if something we failed to do correctly caused damage, we fix it. On September 20th you chose to leave us this One Star review which you are entitled to do. We wished that after we addressed the issues, and you still weren’t satisfied you would have contacted us directly to alleviate any problems. We feel that though we made some missteps, as human error would have it, we were quick to correct the issues and stand behind our work. We’re sorry that we were unable to make you comfortable after resolving the issues in the best way we could. We wish you the best in the future with your HVAC needs.
