      - Refused to begin the job and end the job at a reasonable time as agreed on. Refused to present an estimate or receipts for the to be done and done at any time. Deliberately tried to cut corners on a cement pad that would be supporting a metal structure and accused the customer of trying to steal from him. Slandered the customer to the employees of the city of kings mountain. He was completely aware that I am a senior with medical problems and had to empty the storage building without any help. He has cause me extreme pain and health issues trying to relocate storage facilities in the cold weather because I wasn't a priority to him' although he agreed to have the work finished before the weather changed. I still have not received any form of proof of payment from *********** and was told to "Loose his number" so I will not call him again.

      Business response

*************** contacted me regarding pouring a cement pad in May. At that time I informed her that I was very busy with other jobs but I would look at her job as soon as possible. During this time she was responsible for calling 811 to get locates for the property. **** the 1st she texted me and notified me that there were no conflicts with the locates at which time I reminded her that I still had several jobs ahead of her but that I would begin her work as soon as possible.  Around the third week of June I surveyed the job and gave her estimates. Her estimate was $13,700 which included grading for the concrete pad , packing the dirt , making positive drain from the pad,, forming concrete for the building pad and driveway, pouring and finishing the concrete , backfilling around pad and driveway, cutting expansion joints in pad, cleaning off light debris of dirt on concrete and labor. The job was completed to her satisfaction June 30 th.

Unfortunately , I had an accident that sent me to the hospital , where I had emergency surgery on July 8. I was instructed by my surgeon not to do any work for at least 2 months due to the nature of my injury.  In the meantime ************** contacted me on July 8th but I told her I was in the hospital and would have to call her back. *************** contacted me again on July 11 and informed me that they would not let her put her building up because it needed footers.  I did not have blueprints for her job and all I had to go on was the measurements of the building given to me by ****************  However; I informed her that even though we did  not price footers I would come as soon as I was able and dig her footers, poor the cement at no charge to her. On August the 26 the footers were dug and poured and  approved by the inspector .  I was not supposed to be working but *************** was harassing  and completely unconcerned about my health.  Even though *************** was not understanding regarding my health situation I did drive by her house and make sure she was able to get her building up and it was up. I will be happy to send her an itemized receipt in the mail . I have been self employed since I was in my early 20's , most of my work has been word of mouth and I have never had this type of problem because I do complete all jobs to the satisfaction of my customers . It is unfortunate when you go over and beyond for a customer and they file false allegations against you. I have all of the text communications between myself and *************** along with pictures of her job and I would be happy to submit any information you may need.

                                                           Thank you,  **** Wilson

      Customer response

      12/30/2022

I am rejecting this response because:

First I would like to point out I got the loan for this work in Feb. and got his contact information from ******************* in *********** the metal builders then. So it was March when I contacted JT. 1st lie he told. I also noticed there was no mention from him about me stressing how important it was for this job to be done quick as possible because of my health, my family situation (I don't have any left), and the change of weather coming. He accepted the job knowing these things.

2rd lie he's telling...He never mentioned being so busy with any other jobs that he couldn't handle my simple one. If that was the case why did he agree to do it?  I previously stated I had problems with the city for awhile that was not his fault. He could have been taking care of all that extra work then because it was at least 4-6 weeks. Then the rains came for awhile although it rained in other cities it hadn't rained here for 3-4 days at one point. But ** still wouldn't come. He insinuated I was lying about it not raining here although he live in Kings Mtn. also.

*** needs to look up the meaning of going over and beyond for a customer because that's sure not how he treated me!! Must have been those Other customers he talks so much about. And I also have the texts and communications between us and the name of the city official that said I should turn him into the state also!!

Lie #4 & 5...As for his accident, I was told by him he was unable to walk and he was to stay down for at least 2 weeks...not 2 months. What kind of a company can't run if the owners not there? Isn't that what a crew is for?  Oh but he was so busy, had so many other jobs to do, ...really does he expect anyone to believe he told all those people my companies not working because I got hurt?  JT is too greedy for that, for 2 whole months!!!

No I'm the one that got the shaft..just ME !!!  Besides all he did was drive the backhoe and his pick up truck. The guys did everything else, sometimes he would use a shovel but rarely. He said he didn't trust the guys to work without him because they were all on other jobs together. He wasn't laid up at home all that time.

My contract wasn't in writing so I got treated like a bug he could walk on.

As for July I told him about that last inspection and he denied it was going to happen. I paid him anyway and he cashed those checks right away. My building wasn't put up until the end of August or the beginning of Sept. right when the weather's getting really cold out. So, although we had an agreement from the beginning I became a unimportant part of his world that he chose to push aside whenever it was convenient for him. Where was his CONCERN for MY health? He knew I had a bad heart a bad back and needed knee replacement surgery, plus I'm now 66 years old trying to do all this work alone. There are days when I can't even make it to the backyard since this weather's gotten so bad. This man has lied so much in his statement I'm getting nauseous reading it. He gave me a estimate my tail!!!!! I still haven't gotten the receipts for the money's I paid him, and I don't expect to because I don't think he's reporting all he earns but that's ok... I'll report it to the *** for him since he thinks he's so smart. I wouldn't recommend JT Wilsons Concrete job to anyone, not ever. Now that he can count on.
