On April 17th, I contacted Mr. ********************** through text above having a room wallpapered. I sent him a few pictures of the room and said I had 5 double rolls. He replied perfect and we agreed on $400. He came on the 22nd and after making pencil markings all over my painted walls, opened and cut a roll of wallpaper, he said I was going to be a roll short and the best thing to do would be to return the unopened paper and reorder so *********** will all be the rolls. He asked if I would give him $100. for his gas & to insure he had the job secured and that it would be deducted from the total agreed upon amount. I wrote out a receipt, he signed. He came back on Tuesday May 2nd. and I will admit I was indecisive on my choice of wallpaper, he suggested a wallpaper store I should go to and look at their wallpaper choices. He then asked for another $100. for his drive , I said I wasnt comfortable giving that but would give him $50. and we deducted that from the total amount. That same day I went to the wallpaper store he suggested and ordered wallpaper to which was going to be in stock in 7-10days. I then messaged him that same day to get on his schedule. He did not reply to my text messages about getting on his schedule and I could see from text read receipts that he had read each one of them. He finally replies on the 10th and says he was on vacation and doesnt bring his work phone, which I told him was false because he read all my messages. Says I harassed him and that my job would have normally been a $700. job and he agreed to do it for me for $400. as a favor. That he was no longer interested in doing the job, and these are his words: I will mail you a check. I do not want the money. I will just eat it. He accused me of bad mouthing him and calling people which is false. My husband and daughter called him and he says h*** have his wife send the check. *** talked to his wife and she told me shell talk to him and get back to me and she hasnt, that was on June 5th.
