The Town of Landis has continuously charged my family and I outrageous amounts for power usage over the past several years. I attempted to contact them in regards to these outrageous rates and they were unwilling to resolve any dispute. On my current bill I was charged $402 for a single month of service. I have made it my soul purpose to unplug every electronic not in use in my entire house every single day! I have also limited the usage of our heating system to the point where my house remains cold during the cold winter months. My family and I have also limited shower days and time spent showering. All in fear of another high bill. Regardless of all my efforts, my bill continues to skyrocket. In the meantime my family and I can not live normally or comfortably in fear of not being able to afford these outrageous bills. I have also contacted them in the past due to a $500 bill in which they stated that there was a mistake. It appears to me that there are major billing issues within this business and there is absolutely nothing anyone is doing about this. When questioning them, they also stated that they look back at the prior years to ensure correct billing. This to me sounds like they are billing me based on the prior years bills. There is something extremely wrong with this business and these outrageous bills! My home is also only a couple years old with brand new energy saving equipment. I have had service with another power company for years and NEVER seen any bill get close to the amount the Town of Landis is charging and has been charging for years. I worked hard to be able to buy my home and Landis has me ready to sell everything I worked soo hard for. Its a shame and disgraceful!
